If you think N is right in wanting to liberate Pokemon, and want to use a new team after each gym like N, this is a challenge for you!

    N's Challenge

    Rules:

    1. You must Liberate your Pokemon after each gym. This means catching a new team, and then release/box your old team. You then do the same after the next gym.
1.5 Because the Kanto part of Johto games is so compact, you catch one team after the Elite 4 for all of Kanto, including Red
    2. If any of your Pokemon faints, you release it, to not hurt it any further.
    3. No rematches that are not required.
    4. The challenge ends when you beat the Champion / Red
    5. Your final team must include the Legendary Pokemon of the game. (Kanto games can use any legendary)
    6. No Hacking or trading, except for evolving Pokemon
    7. Emulators are allowed
    8. Have fun! :)

    Optional rule:

    - No defeating wild Pokemon. Its just hurting those poor, innocent Pokemon
(May be used half for Johto because of the low levels outside of the Gyms. Then you can train your team to the level of the leaders' first pokemon, and only after beating all the other trainers. You can also use revives for the Elite 4)
    - No using the same species of Pokemon in multiple teams.

I don't recommend Solo teams, if it faints you fail.

Ultimates are of course allowed :)

I will sign up for an Ultimate, just after I finish my electric UMC (Which may be a while, because I'm in Johto, training for Red. Why does he have to be so much higher in HGSS than in GSC! Might have to download an emulator for this challenge...), seems fun though! I have a suggestion though, because Johto is so low, you could battle wild pokemon in Johto, but only to a certain age per gym (as the optional)? And maybe as an optional, not using the legendary? 'Cuz theres a load of people who hate using legendaries (like me)

The rules say "Your final team must include the Legendary Pokemon of the game.", not that you have to use it, just have it along :P
    As for Johto: I've ad'ed it :D

The Legendary part:clever, I'll do that.
The raising to equal level as the gym leaders first pokemon, well played, but how long does that extend, cause I reckon it should go aaaalll the way to the e4(Because otherwise, well, do you wanna face Lance's lv.50 Dragonite with lv.33's from victory road) with the level (Maximum) being 42-ish.
Now you have added me to the Ultimate section, but I won't play it until I finish my Electric UMC (Which might take a while).

EDIT: Since you've already added me, I will do a proper sign-up

I hadn't thought of the levels for the E4, as i always challenge the league underleveled, because i think that is the most challenging and fun part of the games :P We could say you can use revives for the E4?

That could work, yeah. But there's the problem on how long the being able to train thing lasts. Say, from Morty's gym to Clair? Um, a question. You are aloud to use potions, right? And if your playing HGSS and not GSC, there's the difficulty of Red. How are you gonna beat someone who's lowest level is 80? With a lv.50-odd pokemon? In GSC, You could beat him with lv.50-odds, but not in HGSS. And, when I get to this challenge, I'm gonna steal your N's Diary idea =D
