I started making competitive teams in Gen 5. I tried my best to perfect the neglected Hail team. With the release of Gen 6 I have been focused on breeding and trading. I believe now is the time to build my first Gen 6 team. I have decided that a Novelty Eeveelution team is a good place to start due to our newly released Sylveon. It also helps that I have plenty of 5IV Eevee and can breed plenty more with any desired Egg Moves. Sadly I only have a skeleton crew planned and of course came here for some planning help and await Platinumdude's inevitable response to this thread. Without further ado,

    Espeon @ Light Clay
    Timid / Magic Bounce
    EV
    -Stored Power
    -Reflect
    -Light Screen
    -Baton Pass
A staple on any Baton Pass Team. The beginning and the end of all battles. The moveset allows it to open and set up duel screens to protect the team while setting up. Magic Bounce is there as always to Bounce status and entry hazards, useful as an opener. Always is the final recipient of boosts to sweep.

    Vaporeon @ Leftovers
    Bold / Water Absorb
    252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SDef
    -Scald
    -Acid Armor
    -Substitute
    -Baton Pass
Vaporeons job is easy, sets up Subs and boosts Defense. Scald is there to protect against Taunt.

    Jolteon @ ???
    Timid / Volt Absorb
    6 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
    -Thunderbolt
    -Agility
    -???
    -Baton Pass
Jolteon boosts Speed while absorbing and Electric attacks. The EV spread is up for improvement. Just a basic set I have. When you don't know...go Attack and Speed!!

    Sylveon @ ???
    Bold / Cute Charm
    252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SAtk
    -Moonblast
    -Calm Mind
    -Wish
    -Baton Pass
Sylveon provides the Special Attack and Special Defense while also providing the healing for the team. Moonblast is here as STAB Taunt immunity. EV are to maximize bulk.

This is my skeleton crew. I'm not sure if I should use Leftovers more than once. I don't have all items figured out. I don't have completed movesets and I'm missing two complete Pokémon. I'm curious as to which two Eeveelutions to add although I would like help creating the remaining Eeveelutions so I have them available for potential team changes in the future.

Please leave your reviews and help me complete this team.

Even though Magic Bounce makes Espeon immune to Taunt, it's massive setup bait. Baton Pass Espeon should look like this:
    -Substitute
    -Baton Pass
    -Psychic/Stored Power
    -Dazzling Gleam/Hidden Power (Fire)/Morning Sun
    Nature: Bold/Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef or 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Magic Bounce

    Vaporeon's EV spread should be 244 HP/136 Def/124 Spe.

Jolteon is too frail for Baton Passing stat boosts. It should stick to passing Substitutes:
    -Substitute
    -Baton Pass
    -Thunderbolt
    -Hidden Power (Ice)
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Life Orb
    Ability: Volt Absorb

Sylveon should use Pixilate as its ability:
    -Calm Mind
    -Hyper Voice
    -Heal Bell/Wish/Shadow Ball/Hidden Power (Fire)
    -Baton Pass
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Pixilate

(using Moonblast with Cute Charm is still acceptable if you can't use Poke Transfer)

Leafeon is the only worthwhile other Eeveelution Baton Passer on the team. Flareon, Glaceon and Umbreon have nothing notable to Baton Pass with other than Substitute. If Espeon runs Stored Power, the Attack boosts from Swords Dance can help increase the move's power:
    -Substitute
    -Swords Dance
    -Leaf Blade
    -Baton Pass
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 136 HP/120 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Chlorophyll

I knew I needed a Physical attacker but didn't think Leafeon would be the choice. I like it though. I'm curious as to whether Jolteon is actually too frail to boost behind screens and Sub. The purpose of the screens are to provide assistance while I get my boosts up. By the time the screens are gone I should be boosted. I definitely want attacks on all Pokémon. Taunt is usually devastating to Baton Pass. I'm also not sure if I like that Sylveon. Unless Hyper Voice can be bred I won't have a 5OV with the proper spread and nature.

I guess I'll figure out who is best for #6. I'm still really disappointed that Leafeon doesn't get Ingrain.

If you don't have access to get an Eevee with Heal Bell (or Hyper Voice for that matter), I would run Misty Terrain. It doesn't look like you are trying to inflict any status effects on your opponent, so having a field that prevents them for your own team would be excellent.

EDIT: Just looked up the TM options for Gen 6. Echoed Voice looks interesting. It would be 52 Power (78 with STAB) on the first attack, and keep doubling each turn until it caps at 200 (not sure if it would be higher than 200 with STAB). Staying in probably isn't the gameplan on a Baton Pass team though. You could always Hyper Beam ^.^

Dual screen Espeon should look like this:
    -Reflect
    -Light Screen
    -Psychic
    -Hidden Power (Fire)/Dazzling Gleam/Baton Pass
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef

Eevee can learn Hyper Voice and Heal Bell via B2/W2 move tutor. They're not egg moves in X/Y. Misty Terrain is a waste of a move slot, IMO. So is Hyper Beam and Echoed Voice because of the former's recharge turn and the latter's initially weak power.

What about investing into Bulk on Jolteon? The plan is to open with Espeon, set screens and Pass to Vaporeon. Vaporeon Subs and boosts then passes to Jolteon who boosts speed into Sylveon who boosts SAtk and SDef and passes into Espeon again. By the time it gets to Espeon screens will be down but will have boosts. That is also why Stored Power was the STAB of choice. Espeon can always re-screen if it needs too to add on top of the boosts.

Also I was going Moonblast on Sylveon because it is 90 BP STAB without needing Pixilate. Sylveon also boosts SAtk while attacking when necessary. I can add Leafeon who will boost Att for any Special Walls. I also still have a free slot. It's not being used for anything. I could add another Sub, or whatever. I'm curious as to what Umbreon, Glaceon or Flareon have to offer.

No, don't bother with adding bulk to Jolteon. Espeon gets away with the bulk investment because of the importance of Magic Bounce.

As far I know Jolteon is the only Eeveelution to boost Speed. That will be the only thing unboosted in this team if it doesn't boost. I may also get outsped. I put a STAB move on everything to avoid Taunt and play off the opponents weaknesses. With Psychic, Water, Electric, Fairy and Physical Grass STAB, I have good coverage. I only have Dark, Fire and Ice available to choose from in the last spot.
