    [PokeCommunity.com] Noragami Season 2 Confirmed!

The May issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine is announcing on Monday that a second season of the Noragami television anime has been green-lit. The new season will reunite the staff and cast from the first season based on Adachitoka's manga:

    Director: Kotaro Tamura
    Series Composition: Deko Akao
    Character Design: Toshihiro Kawamoto
    Animation Production: BONES
    Hiroshi Kamiya as Yato
    Maaya Uchida as Hiyori Iki
    Yuuki Kaji as Yukine
    Miyuki Sawashiro as Bishamon
    Jun Fukuyama as Kazuma
    Aki Toyosaki as Kofuku
    Daisuke Ono as Daikoku
    Toru Ohkawa as Tenjin
    Asami Imai as Mayu
    Rie Kugimiya as Nora
Funimation streamed the first season as it aired in Japan last year, and describes the story:

Yato may just be a minor god now, but he's determined to make it big and he's got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don't seem to be going his way. He doesn't have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he's got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.

Funimation scheduled the first season's DVD and Blu-ray Disc release in North America for this summer. Kodansha Comics will publish the fourth manga volume in North America in April.

The magazine quotes the manga creators Adachitoka as saying that they did not believe the news of the second season when they first heard it. They added that they are very happy that the first season's staff and cast are returning.

Published by Kenchiin INC! :O My prays were heard!

I'm not actually a big fan of the series, but I do think it deserved a second season. That's great news!

I can't believe that silly comment of mine actually predicted this hahaha. Now to chant No Game No Life season 2

But yeah, the ending to the first season does look like it's going to continue, only that there's no news on any release for a second season. Glad that's out of the way. Noragami's manga has 2 volumes already released here, so good to know that it's getting popular. I mean, anime helps manga sales, no? :P

The mangakas must be really excited to see their characters on another season. Clearly I'd be as well if I suddenly hear that my manga's anime adaptation is getting a second season, and the staff that has made the first season are coming back to make it. Damn, now I want to know how their faces looked like when they heard the news.

The first season covered the introductory stuff and a not-so-good arc. The very next arc is, like, levels above and the stuff that comes later is pretty good shit as well. Which means that this second season is likely to end up much higher than the first season in most people's eyes as far as the quality of content goes. Seriously though, compared to what happens later on, the first stuff wasn't even...lol, seriously you all are in for a treat.

Do watch this show, people. I implore you all to.

Blade probably hasn't seen this or she'd probably implode from happiness haha. Me and her - we're both big fans of the series. :D Really happy to hear this news. although obviously I knew it before coming here. still you peeps are quick - gotta give you props for that!

The manga is published monthly and it's still on going, isn't it? Ugh, I will try not to read it because monthly manga are like torture. Waiting forever for 40-60 pages.

ooooh yay, i'm excited! i loved noragami so i'm looking forward to the second season. :D
