Yeah I can't say I wrote this without including some of my own opinion, but this isn't something to just report on without some sort of commentary I feel.

capitalism: we are the greatest, bestest socioeconomic system ever and literally anything else is indisputably pure evil!
also capitalism: despite, once again, making and having a shitload of money, we deem you currently unnecessary to our attempts to satisfy our insatiable greed, have fun worrying about being homeless or something xD

Like, I never played GO or had any interest in Niantic's other stuff, but I will never stop hating corporate bullshit

They're just a small indie company, they can't afford engineers and a whole CTO if they're not pulling their weight. The CEO is gonna want to afford at least a second yacht after his fat paycheck being bought out by another small indie company.
