just looking where to get started and what games to play i just discovered the the site and the whole roms and fan made games
 
Well, there is a vast collection of Roms and Fan ganes here, I don't play Fan Games, so i won't be able to recommend any, but about Roms, I'd recommend Pokemon Elysium and Pokemon Rocket Edition (by DragonsDen).

Solar Light - Lunar Dark ; Zeta / Omicron ; Insurgence ; and for top level battles, Reborn ; Desolation!

I'd be happy to help answer any site related questions you may have to the best of my ability! Sadly that doesn't extend to Fangames or ROM hacks as I'm not one who plays any of them, at least at the moment. I hope you're able to find some you enjoy playing, though!
