New status effects and more

    So far we got multiple status effects that affect certain stats or just cause the pokemon to not be able to move.

    Burn: Deal damage over time and reduce ATK stat.
    Paralysis: Can make the pokemon unable to move and reduce SPD stat.
    Frozen: Freeze the pokemon making it unable to move.
    Poison: Deal damage over time.
    Sleep: The pokemon has a chance to not be able to use a move.
    Confusion: The pokemon has a chance to hit itself.

    There's still no SP.Atk burn type status effect which would be great to have in my opinion.

    Also to give Ground or Rock type more uses it would be great if they could deal some Petrification status effect.

    Got any other ideas about new status effects and maybe changes some of the less used one like Frozen ?

    Got a good idea for this one. I know this is harsh, but make the Pokemon unable to act at all for the rest of a battle, unless in a double battle where the other teammate can heal their teammates (or use a Full Restore/Full Heal whatever), etc.

    Anyway, yeah, I agree. More status effects would be great.

    Well Freeze can't be as used as much as the rest because there is no move that guarantees Freeze (unlike the other status ailments). Honestly, it should stay this way! Freeze has already been "nerfed" but it's still absurdly good; I'd rather it stay as-is but not have a guaranteed affliction move, than nerf it again but give it such an attack.

    What you just described is gen 1 Freeze. It was changed for a good reason--it needed to be nerfed, it was way too unfair. And considering how Freeze used to be, I think it was meant to be Pokémon's version of the JRPG classic "Petrification."

    I think it would be cool if they made (only regular) Poison into a status that dropped the Sp. Atk. stat. That way, there would be reason to use not just Badly Poisoned, but also regular Poison in competitive play. You'd also remove the need to make a whole new status ailment--two Pidgey with one Geodude!
     
    I wish [Curse] was a status move that Ghost-types can exclusively use. Atm, it can easily be cured by switching out to another 'mon. :/

    Yeah, there needs to be a Sp.Atk version of [Burn]. Maybe it can be called [Flu], a Water-/Ice-type status move, but without the damage-after-turn effect.

    As for Ground-/Rock-type status, I'd like to see [Sprain]. It basically just lower's the affected 'mon's Speed. Kinda like [Paralyzed] minus the chances of not being able to do anything.
     
    Like Angie mentioned, the current status effects are already enough and I really don't want any drastic changes or additional status conditions introduced.
     
    I just wish to get some SP.Atk reducing status effect that act like burn.
     
    I think they've covered enough status effects to add any more. I can't imagine having confusion at the same time as a new status condition, it's frustrating enough with the existing ones. ;;
     
    I think "Fear" could be an interesting status effect. Basically, it's kind of like Burn, but the Special Atk is affected instead of Atk.
     
    I think we just need something to affect SP Atk, since burn reduce Atk by half and SP Atk got nothing to reduce it except debuff moves.
     
    I think we're good with the status effect we have, it'll just get too complicated, but otherwise having a status condition to make the other opponent "slack off"
