2nd Gen NEED HELP: pokemon red, cant get rocket to clear saffron!

    I have beaten all the team rocket members (including giovanni) in the basement of the casino place

    yet team rocket still won't leave!

    they are blocking sabrina's gym

    what do i do?

    try talking to Giovanni again, and he might leave

    Here's the problem: It's too soon for you to do it. You've just beaten Giovanni at the Rocket Hideout under the casino in Celadon (city of the fourth badge), am I right? So, you should have gotten the Silph Scope, the item that appears in the room after Giovanni leaves.

    Now, go to Lavender and work your way up the tower to defeat another set of Rockets and get Fuji (the old man who went up there) to go back to his place. After getting the Poké Flute from him, then you can enter Silph Co. in Saffron. From there, you'll have to clear out the Rockets (and Giovanni) for a second time to save the city. Once you do that, Giovanni will leave, as will the Rockets. (You also get a Master Ball on top of that.)
     
    How to do it.

    Ok so you beat the Casino. Now you have to beat the ones in the Silph Co. Building(The tallest building in Saffaron). If you can't do that(which I'm 90% sure that you will be able to) go to the cemetery in Lavender Town and get past the ghost with the Silph Scope and you will save the old man and get the Poke Flute.
