Nature/EV for Walrein

I want to use one for competive battling and i'm not sure how to best train him for that.

I was thinking it could work as a special sweeper.

How can walrien sweep? hes way too slow..You can use him as some sort of mediocre tank with nice retaliation moves. Thats how I use my Swampert :3

Ice Body is better with Hailer.

And not many trainers use Icebeam on Walrein and Surf will probably OHKO anyways.

Hmm... He might be good as a hailer, but his team has to be prepared for it.

exactly... walrein needs some support to pull things off, but otherwise, it's pretty awesome with Ice Body and Leftovers.

it can do pull off all kinds of strategies. it's not really much of a sweeper, but i suppose it could get away with it with Trick Room support.

Walrein was fairly decent in 3rd gen, but seemed to have lost power with close combat and new fighting types coming in like infernape and lucario. Well, it can still tank, can't it? I'd use it as a hailer, but that's just me...

Its stats never really impressed me though.

Trick Room support is a decent way to sweep.
