So my sons are way into Pokemon. My wife and I are trying to match their enthusiasm by creating our own decks, along with theirs. However, we'd like some suggestions. Here is my wife's deck so far:

I'm thinking we need to get another Empoleon and Blastoise. Also, we aren't tied to the Zubat line. We're pretty open to anything in the Psychic line that you all think would be better. Be brutal. Thanks guys.

Based on the trainer cards I see, these are all from the most recent sets, correct?

Anyways, it would help to know which sets the Pokemon are from (because many of the Pokemon you have in your deck have multiple versions in different card sets).

I can tell you that the Piplup-Empoleon line is kind of small... I'd add one of each if possible, and just cut out the Fossil cards and the Zubat family, since you don't have any Pokemon that evolve from those fossils in this deck. Another Blastoise might be a good idea, and maybe see if you have a Level X version of Mismagius, Empoleon, or Blastoise.

Don't replace the Zubat line with another family of Pokemon, since three evolution lines is plenty in a deck. Instead, look for better Trainer cards to put into the deck.
