Monopoly: Pokemon Edition

    Did/does anyone else have that game? I recently pulled it out and played with with my parents, and realized how fun it is! I love board games, and the fact that they made a pokemon version is even better. I also loves how they incorporated the different effects and properties of the places you land on in Monopoly and added a special pokemon twist. Anyways, I just got nostalgia for the old times and was just wondering if any of you have the game (either of the editions, I just found out they made a second) and what your opinions of them are.

    By the way, I have the original version that I got for Christmas 1999, but I just found out through Bulbapedia that they made a second edition for G/S.
     
    I have my pokemon monopoly somewhere - I've had it for such a long time, and I love it so much! I have some other pokemon board game that's a little more complicated and that I can't remember the name of, as well. Unfortunately, both games are collecting dust in the closet since nobody wants to play board games with me anymore, lol.

    I don't think I have the G/S version of pokemon monopoly if they ever made one - now I wish I had it, darn.
     
    I see this game sold sometimes even today at like bookstores and stuff. Next time I see it I may buy it. I love monopoly but never played Pokelopoly.
     
    Oh it's so great. The properties were Pokemon, and the Tax thing that you landed on was to gary. And the Broadway/ Park Place squares were Nidoking and Nidoqueen. It was/is really fun. And it's awesome getting to be Mewtwo (he's one of the game pieces.).

    Yeah, I also literally JUST found my Sorry: Pokemon Edition game. It's awesome as well.
     
    Yep, we used to spend hours on that game...

    Oh i never had it but i did have pokemon yatzee. yes i was a monopoly deprived kid up to 3RD grade. And stopped at 4th grade cause 2 hours in i had all properties with hotels and such.
     
    I used to have it yeah. But then my little bro lost the mewtwo piece that I always wanted! So I got fed up with him. They carryed on playing and it broke so we can't play it anymore but I really want to play it again!
     
    I had the original 1999 Monopoly: Pokemon Edition. Unfortunately, I lost just about all the pieces so I can't play it anymore.

    Back when I did play it, me and whoever was playing usually decide to play by the original Monopoly rules. By this, we banned Pokemon powers because we thought they were stupid and unnecessary additions to the game.
     
    I knew they had one!

    I mentioned this to my brother the other day when we were looking at Monolopy games. (my family collects them xD) And, I said that when I was like 10 I had Pokemon Monolopy. He looked at me like I was stupid and said "They ain't ever released no Pokemon Monolopy." I swore up and down they did.

    I'm gonna have to show him this one. :3
     
    I have both pokemon monopoly and pokemon sorry. We never played monolpoly too much because it always took a while and I always won, but we played pokemon sorry all the time. We still sometimes do.
