1st Gen Mew Glitch in Pokemon Yellow

    I was just wondering if this glitch could cause any damage to my game what so ever? or would affect anything... I just don't want it to wreck anything xD.
    And if I wasn't suppose to make a thread about this or I was suppose to ask this in another thread then I am sorry.

    Exactly. :) Missingno and 'M are dangerous (at least to your Hall of Fame data), but Mew Glitch is perfectly safe to pull off.

    (The only reason I added the last bit was because every message must apparently be 25 characters long or more. :P)
     
    Yeah,Its safe,I've already did it few times,Actually,i found out that if u battle other trainer insted of the boy near Bill's house,You could encounter different Pokemon,You could even get dragonite at Level 7! But be sure do not fight the old man who says
    "i never won before"( i think,Sorry I forgot,If not The guy you says"i never lost " or something like that) on the route loctaed at the right side of vermillion,Cause u would encounter Missingno,which actually freezes your game,But sometimes it didnt,And dont even try to catch it,Cause it caught him,Your Game will Screw up!!He has Infinite Exp which makes him hard to level up,(i havent tried giving him a rare candy)And the Backsprites of your pokemon will screw up,and your game suddenly freezes for no reason sometimes.
    Belive me,Your game would not work anymore,My yellow cartridge isnt working anymore :(
     
    I've done the mew glitch hundreds of times. And its never screwed my game p. But when the missingno came i was like. Ahh crap
     
    The Mew Glitch should be perfectly safe. But, some of the other ones are dangerous.
     
    The Mew glitch is perfectly harmless, I have done it quite a bit in all three of my original games with no damage. Then again I always got lucky with Missingno too, IT CAN be very dangerous to catch, it can vanish pokemon from your team(My best friend told me a friend of hers lost his charizard), and erase your save game as well as causing you to be unable to save a new one. I however caught a few at one time and never experienced problems and all three of my games are still fine today.

    Mew, however should be perfectly safe though since it does not involve resetting your game at a stage where you are told not to(IE, during the trade clone cheat or while a typical save is in progress), or any glitch pokemon/trainers, I don't see how damage can be caused. I would not worry.

    Glitched are rather helpful than harming .

    Also the only way to catch missingno easy on Yellow :)
