    This week our ORAS Mega is none other than Wally's ace, Mega Gallade!

    Plates emerge on Gallade's arms, and the helmet and cape-like protrusions on its head and back give it a knightly appearance. When the situation demands, Mega Gallade can use its psychic power to reshape both arms into blades simultaneously, and fight using a dual-wielding style.

    When it Mega Evolves, its Ability changes to Inner Focus, so it?s protected from flinching. Its Attack and Speed stats improve, making this a Pok?mon likely to excel at first-strike strategies.


    So, now for some questions. Do share your thoughts!

    What do you think of Mega Gallade? Do you like it more or less than its non-mega forme? How do you feel about its design? Before it was announced, had you expected there would be a Mega Gallade in ORAS? If so, is it anything like what you expected? Have you used it on your in-game team at all? Do you have any other thoughts to share?

    I did expect Mega Gallade considering we had Mega Gardevoir from X&Y, so, it was pretty easy to predict. I didn't use it that quite much, however, maybe a few times competitively, but sometimes it lacked power, unless you used Swords Dance.
     
    I like its design better than normal Gallade. There's nothing wrong with normal Gallade. I also like its design but I think I like its mega form because it looks like it's wearing a cape or something that looks like one. I didn't really think there was going to be a mega form for it until I battled Wally. I never used it in a battle before.
     
    I'm a big fan of the design too. It really gives the feel of an honorable kind of warrior. The cape is a great touch too!

    When I learned Gardevoir got a Mega, I figured Gallade too would get one at some point in the future, though I didn't necessarily expect it to be in ORAS. I also love love love the final battle with Wally, and Mega Gallade's appearance really fits in with the background, the scenery, and the music during the battle :D

    Now if only it had gotten Justified instead of Inner Focus, I may have used it more...
     
    It's a great swiper for any additional swiping team and could do mass damage pretty quickly, but I'm not impress on UN-ogrinaility of the design though.. WANNA DUEL!!!
     
    I've used it in some of my battles. I never knew it could mega evolve until that battle you have with Wally. I like its design more than I do with its non-mega form. I plan to use it again sometime soon.
     
    Ah, Mega Gallade, the Mega Evolved form of my favorite Pokemon. I absolutely love its design, from the capes to the Duel Disk-like arms. Granted, it may not be the best Mega to use in competitive play, due to its relatively situational ability, but it's still usable.
     
    I love how badass Mega Gallade becomes with his blade-arms being made more intimidating, and having a dual cape was also awesome. Like the others said his ability may be a huge letdown compared to most other Megas but he does make up for it with his huge Attack stat and wide movepool so there's still something he shines at.

    I was pretty much expecting a Mega from Gallade ever since Gardevoir had one in X/Y. At least it came sooner than we thought.
     
    I like Mega Gallade! It has a cool knight design to match with Gardevoir's princess look. I haven't really used it in-game and only once competitively. It does OK but it really lacks a certain oomph in any particular area: it's not quite fast enough and it's not quite powerful enough.
     
    I'm surprised that Mega Gallade isn't used more in OU. It's BL, so you would think that you would see it a bunch in OU. However, I haven't for some odd reason. Aside for maybe the HP stat and the SpA stat that clearly everyone uses, this thing is not half bad. Design wise, however, to me it looks like Mega Gallade is just a glorified Hawlucha.
     
    Mega Gallade looks awesome and it really makes him more of a knight than ever before.

    Pairs well with Mega Gardevoir too.
     
    I like the knight feel too, he looks quite dashing! Not used one yet but this evolutionary line is growing on me so who knows! I do covet the shiny!
     
    The design is really nice, and its movepool isnt all that bad getting a variety of stab moves along with some other good moves like night slash and leaf blade. It also has a tad bit of bulk behind it.

    The ability just makes it useless though. I could see Gallade getting like Iron Fist or something like Magic Guard. But Inner Focus is horrendous. I would rather keep Steadfast or Justified. What is Inner Focus supposed to help with, Serene Grace Iron head? Or a fake out that will do little damage? Its just not good.
     
    I think the inclusion of Mega Gallade was rather predictable, but that's not to say it isn't cool. Very cool design, even if I haven't ever used it seriously at all. Even if its typing isn't all that great thanks to stuff like the Fairy-type, it definitely has use. Inner Focus isn't that good, but at least it can keep foes from being annoying with Fake Out.
     
    Mega Gallade's design looks pretty cool, I guess I like it slightly more than the original which is also cool. The cape looks really nice on the Mega, and kinda matches with how Gardevoir and its Mega have what seems to be a dress. I prefer the white+red elbow/arm blade things on the Mega evolution over the green ones on a typical Gallade. I hadn't really predicted most of the mega evolutions in ORAS, but it wasn't exactly a surprise given that there is a Mega Gardevoir.
    I haven't used it in my ingame team, as I evolved my Kirlia into a Gardevoir rather than Gallade, and still don't have the mega stone. My Kirlia was female anyway, so no Gallade for me. Competitively, I haven't used Mega Gallade much. I feel like it's a bit underwhelming, and outclassed by other Fighting-type mega evolutions such as Mega Medicham, Mega Lopunny and the now-uber Mega Lucario. I don't really see myself using it in OU, especially since Mega Sableye is still allowed. I guess its main bonus over the mega evolutions of Medicham and Lopunny is additional bulk, and some more speed than Medicham's mega evolution, but I feel like the low HP stat means it wouldn't help too much except for tanking some strong special attacks and maybe priority. Still looks cool though! c:
     
    I love how much more sleek, awesome, and warrior-like Mega Gallade looks! Gives him a huge boost in Attack and Speed, which could not be more fitting for him. The ability could have been a lot better, though. Justified was a perfect-enough ability for regular Gallade, it should have kept it in Mega form.

    Overall though, I really like it.
     
    If only it didn't have Inner Focus. :(
    Adaptability would have made it broken like Lucario, but it would have been a nice counterpart to Mega Gardevoir's Pixilate.

    Not fond of the design either, but it's at least not bad.
     
    I have Mega Gallade in Omega Ruby and love it, it's pretty strong and fast and I think it looks pretty cool. I like it better than it's original forme since it gets more powerful and it gets a more epic design if you ask me.
     
    I really like the design with the cape, it's a real warrior now!:) At the moment, I'm playing Pokémon Platinum again, and guess who's in my team? Gallade!{:3}
