    This week's ORAS Mega is the first and so far the only Mega Evolution of a Mythical Pokemon, Mega Diancie!

    The impurities upon its body's surface have fallen away, and it sparkles so brilliantly when reflecting light that you cannot look directly at it. The diamond on its head measures over 2,000 carats.


    Diancie can do even more when it Mega Evolves, changing its Ability and its stats. With the Magic Bounce Ability, any status conditions or stat-lowering effects can be bounced back at the one trying to inflict them. Also when Diancie Mega Evolves, its Speed increases greatly. Mega Diancie's Defense and Sp. Def both go down, but its Attack and Sp. Atk gain big boosts, making its Mega Evolution perfect for getting off fast attacks.


    So here's a few questions:

    What do you think of Mega Diancie? Do you like it more or less than its non-mega forme? How do you feel about its design? When Diancie was first revealed, did you expect it would get a Mega? If so, is it anything like what you expected? Have you used it on your in-game team at all?Do you have any other thoughts to share?​

    Awh, I really love using this Mega in battle~ It's pretty strong, and it's magic bounce ability is quite amazing! Didn't really expect it would get a mega though, but, I'm not disappointed; it's like a magical princess~!

    It reminds me of Cinderella. :3
     
    Yess it's quite adorable! And I love Magic Bounce as its ability. I guess those diamonds don't just reflect light, they reflect status moves too ^^

    I was pretty surprised when it was revealed that Diancie would get a Mega, as I wasn't expecting it at all. I haven't used it in the games, since I rarely use legendaries in-game, but I have used it in competitives a bit.

    But aaaa it's so cute I love it <3
     
    The design just so amazing and cute. The stats gives diancie some edge by sacrificing bit of defensive stats for good speed, but diamond storm would boost their defense also Gyro Ball still bit useful so does rock polish to give more edge.
     
    Okay, first, I have to say... Diancie herself is one of the most gorgeous and adorable Pokémon of all time, in my opinion...I love her so much <3

    Beautiful design with all those diamonds, unique typing, great STAB moves and great defense to boot. But Mega Diancie took the personification of beauty and made it even more beautiful... (and at the same time, taking one of my absolute favorite designs and making it even better) <3 And I don't think I even need to say why...she is the absolute best princess~

    On top of that, she's got amazing new stats and, like Mega Sableye, a wonderful ability in Magic Bounce. She is more Attack and SpAttack-oriented, greatly improving her already powerful STAB moves like Diamond Storm and Moonblast. God, it just feels so satisfying using powerful Special Attacking Pokémon for me, and Mega Diancie is no exception. And while her attack stats were buffed, her defense ones are still pretty dang good. And god, she gets such a boost in speed! She's one force to not be reckoned with!

    I may have to think about it, but I would definitely say that she is in my top 5 Megas. Absolutely gorgeous, absolutely powerful, I love this one so much. ^^


    ...Also, isn't it a little odd that Diancie, was the first and is the only Kalos Mega...? I'm shocked that they never made a mega for a single Kalos Pokémon for XY, or ORAS besides her... There's so much awesome potential with the various designs, I'd love to see Mega Starters, Mega Goodra, Mega Tyrantrum/Aurorus, Mega Florges (and as not-very-likely at all as it is to happen, Mega Vivillon ^^ ), and others in the future!

    Mega Diancie is one of my favourite Mega evolutions because of its beautiful design. It's so cute <333!!! I definitely like it more than its non-Mega form, both for design and stats/in battle. I definitely didn't expect it to get a Mega evolution, especially since it is the only Pokemon released in 6th gen to have one, but it was a pleasant surprise! Hopefully I can get its Mega Stone some time in my games.

    I've never used it in my ingame team because it is obtained from events, but I really like using it in battles. I haven't used the mega outside of Pokemon Showdown, but its speed and power makes it very good in battle. My biggest problems with it are how it really needs Protect since it is slow on the turn that it mega evolves, as well as its weakness to common moves like Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch and EQ. If it had room for more moves, like Hidden Power Fire and Earth Power at the same time, then it would be even better than it already is. Overall I really like it and I'm interested in trying it out in more teams c:
     
    It's hella pretty looking, that's for sure. Lot better than the base form too. I have this sort love-hate relationship with it though in battle. On one hand I swear that half the time when I make a team it's Mega Diancie weak, and it's also kinda hard to fit into a team (I'm literally in the middle of trying to build a team with Mega Diancie in it right now) because it's kinda frail and the base 50 pre-mega speed really sucks, not to mention the 4x Steel weakness. But then it also is great once it gets going and Magic Bounce is a pretty sweet ability.
     
    I never personally used Diancie from an in-game perspective, but I had my fair share of using her on Showdown and she can really destroy for something that looks so beautiful. Like what the others said, she was an unexpected Mega but it's still a great design that showcases what Diancie is best known for - beauty.

    Magic Bounce is already a useful ability, reflecting status moves back onto the opponent is very handy but offense is her main playstyle as opposed to regular Diancie being more defensive. Rock and Fairy also cover a lot of stuff as far as an attacking combination goes, and even the 4x Steel weakness is not so much of a problem now that she can also learn Earth Power, giving her more options.

    It's literally an example of a beautiful Pokemon that surely can pack a punch.
     
    Mega Diancie is good and all but I find myself replacing it with Hoopa-U on most of my competitive teams. Diancie doesn't have to rely on goddamn Stone Edge though, which is great. Rock Polish is my favourite set.

    BTW isn't it interesting that Diancie got a mega and thus is forced to use its item slot, but Hoopa got an alternate form and can use whatever item it pleases? Also M-Diancie has an amazing design.

    Haha, that's true actually! I never even stopped and thought about that. As great as Mega Diancie is, that's always the common problem with Megas. They sacrifice that precious moveslot ~_~
     
    Mega Diancie is my favorite mega Pokémon. I really like the design and think it matches very well. I've been using Diancie in almost every battle (in-game and online). I got Diancie from Wonder Trade which surprised me. I never got a legendary before. Diancie has been a good addition to my team so far.
     
    I like both normal and mega designs but she really does shine like a princess when Mega Evolved! Though apparently it's genderless...
    I've used one on my in-game team because I always like to use newly discovered Pokemon when they're released as they feel special at the time. I like the typing too!
     
    For starters, Mega Diancie has a rather cute design. I never used the event Diancie I got in battle, even though I'm starting to consider it.
     
    Absolute trash. Don't like the design, don't like wasting the mega slot. Regular Diancie is fine as a bulky lead.
