Marill Evolving too early?

    Do you think Marill evolves too early? I think it does because Azuril evolves through happiness and then its 18 when Marill evolves again and imagine to be that Azuril evolves to Marill but you're mid twenties in levels and you then evolve again a level later.
     
    Azurill didn't exist when Marill was created.
    Marill is a weak Pokemon and they made it evolve too early, so that it gets quickly stronger.
     
    personaly i think all pieces of trash should evolve into somewhat acceptable pokes asap.
     
    I feel like Marill is a Pokemon that never should of gotten a baby pre-evolution since it evolves so early at level 18. By the time you evolve your Azurill into Marill you're already close to evolving it again. Because of that you never really get to enjoy any of its evolutions besides the last.
     
    Sometimes it takes a while to make a Pokemon happy though... but yeah, it is rapid evolution.
