Hey! Its long ago since i played Pokemon Platinum so i want try it out again! I have some questions to my team..
I have beated Diamond with chimchar as starter, platinum with turtwig as starter but i havent tried Piplup yet. Any good teams? And what Grass type should i catch, and where can i catch it early? Same question with the electric type.. Evolve the eevee so i can get a Jolteon or maybe Luxray?
The team i got right now:
    - Piplup [Water]
    - Shinx [Electric]
    - Starly [Normal & Flying]
And i want to catch this one.
    - Budew [Grass & Poison]
I am not sure about going after a Houndour or evolving the Eevee into a Flareon..

Speaking of Grass types, the earliest one you can get is Budew at Route 204. However, it evolves into Roselia by happiness, so you have to walk a lot with it, and try not to make it faint. Roselia learns Poison Sting at level 7, and Leech Seed at level 16, both moves which Budew can't learn. I always evolve my Budew earlier than level 16, but if you really want Poison Sting, you should evolve your Budew at level 7 or earlier. However, this means you can't fight much with it until it evolves.

As for your Electric type, I'd go with the Shinx line. Eevee also has Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon as possible evolutions.

Okay! A Flareon sounds good! I want to try that one out.. But with that Budew. It just must be in my party when im walking around and trying not using it so much so it never faint?
That's right. But if that's too tedious for you, I can recommend Tangela in its place. Tangela can be found at the Great Marsh, and it evolves into Tangrowth if it knows Ancientpower, which it learns at level 33.

I would also recommend adding a Ralts to your team. You can get them pretty early on and whether you choose Gardevoir or Gallade, you'll have a really useful Pokemon on your hands. c: Having a Psychic type will also give you an advantage at the Fighting type gym, which I believe is Gym #4 if memory serves.

Okay, im going to try to catch a Ralts then :) But what with the Abra you get trough a trade in a house close to the first gym ?

Abra only really has Teleport until level 16, at which it evolves into Kadabra, and then gets Confusion. But since you get it from a trade, it gets more EXP.

Kadabra evolves into Alakazam by trading. If you have anyone to trade with, then the Abra line is an option. If not, then you're better off with Ralts.

If you can trade, then you can also use the Machop line in your team, because Machoke evolves into Machamp by trading. In this case, you should try to get one with No Guard.

If you can get a male Ralts and evolve it into Kirlia, you can use a Dawn Stone on it and evolve it into Gallade.

EDIT: Between Flareon and Houndour, go with Houndour, as it has STAB Dark type attacks to deal with Psychic and Ghost types.

Okay, i couldn't play Platinum in some weeks but i can now. My Team is right now is

    Prinplup LVL 27
    Luxio LVL 19
Ponyta LVL 16 (im going to switch this one out with a houndour when i catch one
    Gible lvl 17
    Bidoof LVL 12 (HM Slave)
    and an Eevee lvl 20.

I have also many other pokemon in the computer. A zubat, budew, Gastly, Staravia, Togepi and Ralts.
The question is that i dont know if what pokemon i should try evolve my Eevee to? I have already a Fire, Water and Electric so should i get high friendship with it and try evolving it to Espeon or Umbreon?
