    Hey guys.
I'm currently watching The 9th Pokemon Movie (ranger and the temple of the sea) for the second time. As I was watching the scene where May has her dream about the sea temple and manaphy, i paused it on the screen where manaphy had just gone inside the temple. And there he was sure enough..Lugia! It's only his silhouette, but I'm certain it's him!
Anyway, I just wondered if anybody else had noticed this?

That's one of the movies I own, but I haven't watched it enough times to notice that. o_o

Interesting, but I suppose it makes sense that Lugia would be there, in a way.

Here, I'll upload a screen shot....

I know it's blurry, but it's definitely Lugia. The view changes to this side of the temple for about three seconds. I can't see any other reason for doing this other than to show you Lugia...

*tilts head* The figure in the center, or is there another one I'm missing? If it's the figure in the center, I'm looking at it, and it looks more like the underside of Kyogre. The fins are a bit too broad and short to be Lugia's wings, and the tail seems to branch out two ways -- perhaps a blurred version of Kyogre's fins. It even looks like it has Kyogre's coloring, with the blue underside (although it looks nearly black -- you can see some blue spots near the tail and along the edge of one of the fins), the white head, and a hint of a white stripe in the middle. (Compare with this image, pretty much.) It also makes sense for that silhouette to be Kyogre because Kyogre actually was known to appear in the movie itself, whereas Lugia... not so much. It'd be a bit weird to have a movie with a legendary who's only shown for a cameo shot (outside the introductory segment, at least). Movies tend to have legends play a more crucial role, if I recall correctly.

You mean that silhouette in the middle? I think that's Kyogre.

It is kyogre thats its small cameo it made. And for it to be an attachment you would have to have saved it to your computer seeing that the name of the pic is kyogreanime.jpg
Im sorry but do you even bother looking at things? -_-

Oh yeah, I see it now. The reason for my confusion was because I was looking at it at a different orientation. If you imagine the fin on the right of Kyogre as a head, it looks like Lugia.
It's a shame it's not him really, he's one of my favorite Pokemon lol.

Does anyone else feel slightly confused with the water legendaries though? Maybe it's just me being weird, but with manaphy as the 'Prince of the Sea', where do Kyogre and Lugia fit in? I was always under the assumption that legendary Pokemon all had some kind of purpose or duty. Maybe Manaphy represents the Pokemon of the water and Kyogre represents the sea itself. But what about Lugia...?
Lol as I said, it's probably just me being weird... :D

lugia is psychic/flying type he just lives in the water for a strange reason/

Lugia live under the sea because they fear their powers may cause some dissasters, so it could be. But not this one. That's definitely Kyogre.

Yeah, it looks like Kyogre to me as well, which would also make more sense, because Lugia was back in the Johto region.

it looks more like the underside of Kyogre.

xD That's exactly what I did and thought.

Heh, I know what you mean. I always thought that Lugia was the guardian/king of the sea, then Kyogre came along, and then Manaphy, and then Phione.....sheesh. Maybe Lugia watches the sea from the air and Kyogre watches from the water? :cer_confused:

What the waffles? You guys are wrong! That is a Lugia in a Blue Disguise you sillies! :D

OF COURSE it's Kyogre. I think you need to get your sight checked or your computer resolution adjusted.

    Kyogre?

Well I don't really know. The figure looks like Kyogre a bit... But is it really Kyogre? Oh.. OH! (looks more closely) Yup thats Kyogre. lol
