i got Leafgreen on ebay a couple weeks ago, and i am in Vermillion City on the SS Anne, i beat all the trainers on the boat and im trying to beat my rival and get the HM Cut, but when i try to go to the hallway to battle my rival, my screen turns pink and i have to restart my game. Is there any way to fix this glitch? i don't want to have to start my game all over again

Ebay usually has a lot of broken games.
Sorry but I really don't know how you could fix this, cause there's a huge chance that this isn't the only glich in the game(they usually tend to have a lot of bugs)!

Can you take a photo of your cartridge and post it on here so everybody can see what it looks like?

That might help. Some games on Ebay are broken, but I think I will e-mail Nintendo about this. I hope we can help you fix it. Maybe somebody hacked the game, it broke in the way you describe, and they decided to sell it on Ebay because it was worthless.

Games from ebay tend to have a high risk of being fake games, actually, and hence may come with errors like that. A tell-tall sign is if the game says something like 'the save file is ok' or something like that on a blue screen before you select continue/new game, etc - games with that are fake games. Also games that have their save file wiped if you try to say migrate Pokemon from it to a 4th gen gam (or even just play the 4th gen game with the GBA game in the GBA slot!).

If that's the case there's little you can do about that, except hope that the game doesn't glitch up again.

This thread was reported so that the question be asked in the Q&A sticky, but I'm going to leave it since this is more on the matter of a possible fake game.

Anyway, like everyone else has said, if at all possible, please take a picture of your cartridge, and maybe even the "pink screen." But if you can't, then here are some questions for you:

    1. Is the cart a light see through green?
    2. Is the sticker on the cart a green/silver swirl with a shine to it?
    3. Is there a Nintendo seal on it?

It could also be your GameBoy Advance/DS/ whatever you're using. My GBASP's game slot thing is loose and causes weird glitches on my Crystal. But when played in a different system, it works fine. Try using a different system and see what happens.

Well, I reckon if you still need help, just post in the Q&A thread next time. It's been plenty of time for you to take a picture, so no point in leaving this open.

    Locked.
