Who are the real bad guys here?
Has anyone ever noticed half the time Team Rocket try and "steal" a Pokemon, it's usually a wild one? They're trainers too, and they're just trying to catch some pokemanz. : /

Anyway, just somethin' to think about. : T

Only sometimes they actually try and steal a wild Pokemon, but they are supposed to battle it first and use a Pokeball in that case... but for the most part it is usually a trainers they try and steal.

I remember this one episode where Team Rocket were trying to get some wild Seedots and Ash and co. attacked them for doing so.

I was like "Dude, they're wild Pokemon, they can catch them if they want to. Heck, they aren't even doing too well in the wild, what's the problem?"

I remember the episode after James first caught Cacnea, he used it to battle Ash. Ash made a line to the effect of, "I bet he stole that poor thing too!" even though Cacnea joined James willingly. XD

Poor Team Rocket...at the time I stopped watching the anime, they were my favorite characters. I don't think they've really done anything noticeably villainous since the Kanto story arc. >_>

yeah, but they are known as team rocket. People may assume they are um to no good. But i think people should give them a chance to actually get some GOOD pokemon.

Ya, I've been getting tired of them trying to steal trainers' pokemon and failing and failing. It seems to me they're being used as plot fillers because it's the same thing: Team Rocket has a good idea to steal a Pokemon and take it to the boss, they build a huge contraption-thingy, and then they fail miserably and blast off.

Sometimes I wish they would just manage to catch a good Pokemon and send it to the boss...

Pffft, Meowth/Nyarth should go on his own to steal Pokemon, they'll trust him. Jessie/James really suck, except in Contests and why do they even want to steal Pokemon!?!

Oh, thanks for this example, the only one I know is the Hipopotas that was wild that they tried to get. Then Ash interferes! :@

They are bad guys, but should be better, they get so close. I mean I could steal a Pokemon without using so much money!

well, i think team rocket should "steal" wild pokemon or be allowed to steal trainer pokemon
at least that way they dont have crappy ones in the games like zubat have something a little more worthwhile

they just get on my nerves when theyre all like
"i have these super strong pokemon! go ratata!"
    1 second later
"oh my pokemon are weak! im just going to stand here repeating the same thing over and over again while you carry on and corrupt our plans!"

it was bad enough seeing these annoying pokemon in the wild, then you have them in team rocket?

i say team rocket should be allowed to be badguys and steal a dragonite or something instead

IIRC, in the Pikachu's Goodbye episode, ALL of the Pikachu there except for Ashy-boy's were wild. Team Rocket had every right to capture them as trainers. In the anime, apparently if TR tries to capture a Pokemon, or if ANYONE tries to capture using something besides a Pokeball, it's considered "bad."

I have always loved Jessie and James. They were my absolute favorites when I first got into Pokemon as a child, and honestly, I still love them to this day. I never get tired of them.

I think Ash should let them catch wild Pokemon. I mean, he's a dick. He catches Pokemon, I don't get why he refuses to let Team Rocket, unless he thinks that they will mistreat their Pokemon, which really they don't do. Their Pokemon seem pretty happy, actually. If I remember correctly, Ash had more problems with his team than Jessie and James ever had.
