I just wanted to know if anybody else has checked the starting IV's for some of the DS events that have come out in the last few months. I have a TRU Manaphy that has the following IV's
    Hardy level 50. HP 16/0/28/4/22/28
not great but there is some spread there.
the other day i got a Modest movie event darkrai in a trade, and the IV's are all the same: lv 50 modest stats are 163hp/109/124/193/124/163
31 across all stats according to serebii's IV calculator. i know the odds of getting a pokemon with those iv's are astronomical. i wanted to know if all of those event darkrai are set with perfect IV's or that the pokemon is just really rare.

You can soft-reset to change the IVs of TRU Manaphy, PBR Electivire, PBR Magmortar, and PBR Pikachu, as far as I know.

The Mystery Gift pokemon (such as Manaphy or the PBR pokemon, as Bishopk mentioned) can be soft-resetted for good IVs. Darkrai probably can be as well, although I'm not sure.

Also, that Darkrai is probably hacked. There's a 1 in 887503681 chance of getting 31 IVs in every stat, and a 1 in 22187592025 chance of getting a good nature along with it. Trust me, it took hours for me and my friend to get a useable Manaphy, and I don't think mine had a single flawless stat.

Well, if someone did hack it then they did an extremely good job. it is the right level, in a cherish ball, has the classic ribbon, knows spacial rend and roar of time, and has the correct trainer name and ID.

Did you read that in Serebii or something because those probabilities are way too exaggerated. If you do the math, it's 1 in 32x6 chance (32 possible numbers in the IVs and 6 stats) and 32x6 equals 192.

But you're right, the Darkrai is probably hacked.

No, I did the math myself. The way I figure it, there's a 1 in 31 chance of getting a flawless IV. For the second stat, there's another 1 in 31 chance of getting a flawless IV. 31 x 31 = 961. Doing this again for the next six stats eventually leads to 31^6, or 887503681.

Actually, now that I think about it, it's a 1 in 32 chance, leading to 32^6, or 1073741824.

1 in 32 chance for Attack.
1 in 32 chance for Defense.
1 in 32 chance for Sp. Attack.
1 in 32 chance for Sp. Defense.
1 in 32 chance for Speed.

    This means 32+32+32+32+32+32 = 32 x 6 = 192

1 in 32 chance for Attack.
1 in 32 chance for Defense.
1 in 32 chance for Sp. Attack.
1 in 32 chance for Sp. Defense.
1 in 32 chance for Speed.

    This means 32+32+32+32+32+32 = 32 x 6 = 192

There are 32 possible values for HP.

    32

    32 possible values for Attack.

    32 x 32.

Another possible 32 values for Defense.

    32 x 32 x 32.

    And so on until...

    32 x 32 x 32 x 32 x 32 x 32 = 1073741824

You're right airconditioning. Sorry, I think I just calculated as if the IVs were from 0 to 192 (as if it was only 1 stat) but then remembered the other possibilities. You're right, then, it's a lot.

yea, I remember reading that it is a 1 in a billion chance to get flawless stats overall.

and yea, that movie darkrai... that one has been floating around this forum and I have seen a handful of "proud" owners of 'em.. flaunting their movie darkrai's... I have one too.. I'm certain these modest ones are hacked... having better than flawless stats, that is.

look on marriland's pokedex for darkrai and see what I mean.. they're above flawless stats and Serebii only shows a range of X-31 for their IV stats.
