Something that I have noticed a lot is that when the opponent uses an item the next move I use does the maximum damage E.g. If I were to attack the Pokemon and it were to have 10% health left and then the opponent uses a Full Restore the next time I attack with the same move it defeats the opponent. So is this just me or does this happen to other people and is the game made to do this or is it just luck.

It's luck. A move may inflict anywhere between 85% and 100% of it's maximum damage. The first time was probably 85% and the second time 100%.

I've noticed that a couple times. This mostly happens to me when Im either battling the Elite 4 or the champion. Maybe its programed into the game? Or it could be just luck lol

I seem to recall it happening to me a few times, usually against the Elite Four. It is part luck, but maybe something in the game triggers after an item is used that causes the attack to do more damage with higher probability.

It certainly has come in handy for me when it has occured, I must say xD

I've seen it happen, haha. I usually think it's pretty funny, since they think they're being so ~clever~ using a healing item. :P

I've noticed it. It's very handy and really foils the opponents evil plans of healing.

It's happened to me a few times. Sometimes a move does a little less than 50% to the opponent and the next time around, it does a bit more or less than that. Logically, it's because of a damage formula programmed in the game that's causing this.

OMG, if it's luck then I must be the unluckiest guy ever. That's never happened to me and the Elite 4 members especially the champions end up using so many Full Restores.

As for me, I don't know if that already happened to me because I never notice. xD

I have seen it many times. I just thought it was something the programmers do to help the players if they are in a bad situation. Though all games have bugs and fults if you know where to look and notice them. So I also maintain the thought that it is perhaps a bug they just never seem to spot Though I could be wrong.

Oh good. So I wasn't going mad. :) Unfortunately I've noticed this more when I've used the Hyper Potion or whatever, and the opponents attacks seem to generally do more damage than they did before. Though it doesn't seem to happen a lot in the newer games. Or maybe it's just me being unlucky. :|

If you could harness this theory we could be on to something ;3 haha :D

It happens to me too, I always though the game felt sorry for me on the tenth attempt at the Elite 4 :L
