Is Wishiwashi school form a Pseudo-Legendary?

I was looking into other pseudo-legendaries and saw that pretty much he only requirement to be considered one is a base stat at or over 600. Wishiwashi school form has a base stat total of 620. Is it because it is technically just a form of Wishiwashi or are there other reasons I'm missing about why its not one?

Wishiwashi isn't the pseudo legend of this generation due to its fluctuating stats. (They are 620 total in school form, and 175 total in solo form.)

Kommo-o is considered the pseudo-legend of this generation due to its solid 600 base stats, which all pseudo legends share.

Radiating has summed up what holds Wishiwashi back from being a pseudo. Like he said, the stats change between forms, and it also has no three-stage evolution line as a result.

Kommo-o fits both those criteria of a fully-evolved 600 BST member of a three-stage line, hence it's the pseudo of this generation.

Also worth noting, pseudo legendary mon have exactly 600 for their BST. Otherwise Slaking would count and it doesn't.

Thats what I don't get. I figured the quality that made a Pokemon a pseudo legendary was its base stats. Slaking dwarfs all other pseudo legendaries in terms of base stats. He also tops the majority of actual legendary Pokemon as well. It just seems dumb to arbitrarily call some Pokemon pseudo legendaries and others not.

It's not really arbitrary. To be a Pseudo legendary you need to have a BST of exactly 600 and a three stage evolutionary line. Plus they're usually fairly rare. It's not really arbitrary if there are clear qualifiers.

Nah, at least not in my eyes. Besides the fact that it is a single-staged Pokémon, it also switches between two stat totals rather than just retaining the retaining the 620 BST it can reach.

Nope, Wishiwashi's school form is the Slaking of Sun and Moon (a Pokémon with over 600 BST and a hindering ability).

does it have 3 evolution lines?
here are requirements of "pseudo legendary"Pseudo-legendary Pokémon (Japanese: 600族 600 club) is a fan term commonly used to refer to any Pokémon that has a three-stage evolution line, 1,250,000 experience at level 100, and a base stat total of exactly 600 not OVER but EXACTLY 600

Said hindering ability means you need to keep Wishiwashi above 25% health if you don't want it to suck. It's a bit of a hindrance, but at least it's not as bad as Defeatist, Slow Start or Truant.

As mentioned all above-- 600 base stats, no more and no less, and a 3-evolutionary stages line are the qualities of what pseudo-legendary possessed.

They don't necessary have to be stronger or weaker than other Pokemon.

Slaking has a reeeally bad ability though, which effectively halves it's stats.

I wouldn't say it was. Its alternate forms work to sort of average it out, in a way. I feel like it's just a different concept that's been introduced to give us more variety in the types of pokemon we can find; not so much as a pseudo-legendary.
