[PokeCommunity.com] Is this Pokemon Soulsilver Fake or Authentic?

It looks authentic, (the black outer shell of the game) but I'm not too sure.

    So,

is it authentic, or is it fake? Thanks :)

I don't know where to post this, sorry :)

One of the very unique things about hgss is that these games were designed to be played with the pokewalker. Even though authentic cartridges are often sold loose without the original box, manual or pokewalker, a legitimate heart gold or soul silver game has to have an infrared sensor built-in to be able to communicate with the pokewalker. While the game cartridge is a black, it shouldn't just be matte black all over. If you turn the game over on the back side then you'll see a red light shining through the inside of the cartridge when you look closely and hold it up to the light. If the game looks entirely opaque and you don't see a red tinge anywhere, it's fake.

If this is not a game that you currently own, and you are considering buying it from a seller then ask for more photographs of the game, front and back.

Yes, I was thinking about purchasing this, and from their knowledge, it's a reproduction. (Which is technically illegal for them to sell while they aren't selling the original as well.)

    Thanks for the information :)
