5th Gen Is the battle subway extremely difficult?

A Black/White discussion about the Battle Subway. Whenever I play the Battle Subway, whether it's the easy or super lines, the Pokemon seem to be extremely difficult to take down. TBH, all the pokemon i used are AR'd but have moves that are AR'd properly (eg. Charizard w/ Fire Punch) however they can still be OHKO'd by an enemy. But to get back on topic, the pokemon used by the subway trainers seem to have moves that may render your strategies useless. do you find the battle subway difficult and why?

I find it to be much more difficult than the Battle Towers/Frontiers of past gens. In Diamond, I achieved a 115 win-streak. I've only reached 43 once, in Black, and haven't been able to since. IIRC, the subway is made to counter team you this generation. Since I like to run the same team both in-game, and competitively, it's tough for me to create a team of three Pokemon with good synergy, especially since I run a hyper offensive-oriented team (I prefer using one of the slots for a dual-screener).

most of my pokemon in black were offensive sweepers until i added some pokemon with that are good in defenses and have defensive moves. I faced a Togekiss that used only status/boosting moves... so I happen to get some pokemon only for that type of battling...

I found it to be extremely difficult (and this was with cheating) I first used a Spiritomb with Wonderguard and it was going well until I lost badly. So I had to hack a Wonderguard Sableye and I nearly completed the Battle Subway. I never met or heard of someone that beat the Battle Subway without cheating.

When I went up to it, it wasn't hard, I did 31 battles without losing c:
I used my team from HG/SS, and it all went well, I didn't even cheat! :3

I beat super doubles with a Haxorus/Jellicent. Basically I abused Mold Breaker Haxorus's large coverage to OHKO nearly anything while Cursed Body Jellicent soaked damage and healed it off, while disabling moves.

If something knocked out either of those two, or I wanted to swap to be safe, I had a Scarfed Darmanitan and an Occa Berry Ferrothorn with Leech Seed, Ingrain and Protect ready to wall anything.

The Battle Subway was just like the Battle Tower to me. I lost either because my team was weak to a specific Pokemon or hax got in the way.

I used my shiny Infernape against a trainer (by cheating, 252 EVs in all stats),and she was OHKO'd by a Simipour's Waterfall. the farthest I got in the super rank multi was 23 battles with a friend. his Wash Rotom and i forgot his second with my Relicanth and Gliscor made a great combo... until of course those stupid grass and ice types the trainers used took us down. i had hopes of facing Ingo and Emmet in the super rank.

Yeah, you really want to avoid anything with a x4 weakness unless you're specifically prepared for it. :X

Berries and Gems get restored after every match, so you can abuse them pretty well.

Wow, I must be an exception. I traded over my EV trained sweepers Alakazam and Weavile and also Swampert. I find that I can OHKO almost everything with Alakazam or Weavile.

Battle Subway is pretty easy for me. With my Hydreigon and Haxorus, I somehow managed to defeat 24 battles without stopping until I went against one trainer who had all my weaknesses. Even so, it's not as hard since I tend to use moves that defeat my pokemon's weakness.

I haven't done the Battle Subway in a while, but from what I remember it was pretty difficult. I always had trouble with the Simi-pokemon, or whatever they're collectively called. That or my Stone Edge would have terrible accuracy. :'<

People keep saying it's easy but only one person so far has said that they have beat it. If anyone can help me reach a 48 win-streak, which seems to be impossible this gen (which shows how much tougher it is as I regularly hit streaks of at least 80 in gen 4, breaking 100 win streaks 3 times), by all means, teach me. I don't want to sound arrogant, or bratty, or whatever, but honestly, any streak under 40 just isn't that great..

What angers me in the battle subway is, the game almost ALWAYS haxes you to death if you have the upped hand once you pass 28 wins. I ran a Scizor, Rotom-W, Dragonite, and somehow the AI managed to kill me with Quick Claw.. ¬¬

I EV train and do IVs for my pokemon, i have strategy, i still can't get anywhere. I don't remember my high score, but under 40.

Recently getting good results with Zoroark, Garchomp, Dusknoir

i was never good in single lines but double/multi lines i specialize in. i managed to make it up to 25 super rank battles just using Garchomp and Aerodactyl but again those stupid ice types. i'm trying a single line with my distracting/annoying Feraligatr with good defenses and she tortured those subway pokemon with Attract, Double Team and Toxic, then Waterfall... until the 7th battle when she was easily taken out

freeze your game? that's sort of odd because the game never froze on me. anyway, i battled Ingo and Emmet many times with Hilda. The best type to use against them is Fire and the best one against both bosses is Heatran in my opinion

The Battle Subway is certainly a stronger frontier, but less fun. I myself always have a hard time going through it. And I agree with the poster. Any strategy you use, the battle subway always have these some kind of counter strategy for you.

The super subway portion of gen5 is slightly more difficult than gen4's.

There's over 800 different teams you have to deal with. You can't counter them all; compromise on certain strengths and weaknesses so that your team can handle all situations if you play it right.

The "Hax" aspect of the subway is just chance -- there's no bias against you. You get lucky, your opponent gets lucky. Sure there's the usual RNG that determines who you're matched up against and how the battle progresses, but it's entirely psuedo-random. However, the game does (somewhat) peek at what your next move is once you enter it.

I've demonstrated that there's no bias at all before...
