Is Maganzone a weak pokemon? If it isn't, how so? But before you answer my question, let me tell you why I'm asking. I'm asking because magnazone has low def, low sp. def, and low speed stats and it gets knock out with one hit by a ground type attack since it's both electric and steel type. So I want an answer with a good explanation if it's really not weak.

It's only low stats are Attack(Which it doesn't need) and Speed. It's Typing gives it 13 Resistances(More than any other Pokemon) and can use Magnet Rise to get rid of it's ground weakness. It's Ability, Magnet Pull, Allows it to Stop opposing Steel-Types from switching out.

If you want to battle seriously, Smogon is the place to go. You'll see alot of Magnezone because it stops most other Steel-Types in their tracks.

So, Magnezone being a good Pokemon is a FACT, not an opinion. Alot of the stuff you pointed out isn't true if you train one properly.

But what if the opponent, that knows a ground type attack, attacks first before magnazone uses magnet rise. That is if the opponent has more speed than magnazone.

Only an idiot would leave out a Magnezone when the opponent has a high chance of having a ground attack. If you ever watched a competitive Battle, Switching Pokemon happens alot, so just switch Magnezone out of there before it gets killed. Most Pokemon that have a x4 Weakness die in one hit. Charizard, Swampert, Weavile, ALL three of them have a x4 Weakness and get 1HKOed by them.

Ok. If you say so. And what exactly did you mean, "Only an "idiot" would leave out a magnezone"? Is that supposed to be an insult?

Magnezone may be weak to Ground attacks, but it has a massive 12 resistances and one immunity. Only four types - Water (Which Magnezone still has a type advantage against), Ground, Fire and Fighting can hit Magnezone for decent damage, meaning that most Pokemon will not have the right attacks to hit Maggie.

I'm not sure, but I'm on a quest to get one. For some reason I never acknowledged it's existance until yesterday.
I'm waiting for a swarm of Magnemite to occur.

Magnezone's a good pokemon to have around statistically, but it's so aesthetically ugly that I'd rather keep it as a Magneton...one of the few pokemon that I would say that about. XD

I personally think Magnezone is a worthy pokemon to be on your team. It worked great for me.

    I personally used to use:

    Magnet rise
    Discharge(for chance of Paralysis)
    Flash cannon
    HP fire

But Magnezone is really worth having. I fulfills the rle of a wall that can do Decent damage to the opponent. Mediocre defense paired with the right brain can overcome almost any opponent.

Incase your wondering, Hidden Power fire is to get rid of the steel types it attracts

Who says Maganzone is a weak pokemon? Maganzone is a really good pokemon, Its attack are really useful and Maganzone is batter then alot of pokemons. Come to think of it, Maganzone beats all the Water and Flying type pokemons.

Thank you. Nice avatar. I like it.

A good Magnezone is a good steel counter thus I think that it is quite the useful pokemon. XD I think it is probably the best counter for Forretress.

    Hmmmmmm.......................

I personally think Magnazone is a brilliant pokemon. He was one of my main pokemon in Diamond. :)

Ok. I get that Magnazone is a brilliant pokemon like you all said it is, but I asked you all a question and none you people have answered. I asked "Isn't the mirror coat a useful attack for magnazone when it battles pokemon with sp.atks?"
