Yes. Yes, we are.
I you go back, say 1000 years, in everyone's ancestry there will be far more ancestors than there ever was humans on the planet. Therefore it is safe to assume we must all be interelated.
If it seems confusing, allow me to explain. Everyone who was born in Europe is descended from the 8th century king Charlemagne. The reason being is that since every person has 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents, etc., by the time you get back to the 13th century, you'll have had more ancestors than people who have lived on the planet. This was discovered in 1995, by a man called Mark Humphreys at Dublin University. He discovered that his wife was the great-granddaughter of King Edward III, 20 generations down the line. He also discovered that Hermann Göring and the American explorer Daniel Boone had the same ancestry and then realised that the mathematics meant that everyone had the same ancestry as well.
So there you go, the answer is yes. Also, we are all decended from Mitochondrial Eve anyway (If you don't know what that is, give it a quick Googling).
Don't worry though, those are not incestuous feelings that you have for that girl who works at the bakery. :cer_wink:
