well,in the real pokemon world, can ash being counted as luckiest man in it?because he have seen so many legendaries pokemon which is not easily seen....he get to meet ho-oh on first day journey, meet on mewtwo n mew, ride on lugia's back, meet with moltres, zapdos n articuno, fight with entei and unown, fly with celebi, ride on suicune, meet with raikou, play with latios n latias, meet with pokemon that can meet each millenium year, jirachi, rare absol,n even pokemonlive in high sky such as raquaza, even outer space pokemon, deoxys!sooner he shall meet rukario!so,is ash de luckiest trainer in real pokemon world?discuss it! :D

Huh. Wonder why no one posted in this post yet...

Well, either Ash is the luckiest trainer in the world, or that the fact that he's somehow a 'chosen one'. For what, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure Slowking's saying is more than just for the situation that involved the three Titans.

yea...how come no1 post in tis post yet?i tink its a good topic.....btw,i tink ash is the trainer in the pokemon world that has seen most legendaries.....maybe?

hmmm...maybe other then ash there is some trainer thats sees as much legendaries as ash...just he/she not the hero,so v cant see them ><

Well, you really can't say that. Who knows how many other trainers before Ash Ketchum has seen the legendaries?

Then again, Ash is the only trainer I know who's interacted with that many legendaries, and saving the world either with them, or against them! In all of the encounters he's had with them, he should have been long gone! Then again, that's why he's the luckiest trainer around! (not to mention Misty, Brock, and Tracey!)

Hmm... Here's the list of legendaries I know he's interacted with:
    Ho-oh
    Mewtwo
    Mew
    Moltres
    Articuno
    Zapdos
    Lugia
    Unown
    Entei
    Suicune
    Celebi
Raikou? (I'm not so sure about this one...)
    Latias
    Latios
    Jirachi
    Groudon (well, the fake Groudon)
Deoxys (three outta four forms isn't bad!)
    Rayquaza

We have yet to see if Ash'll meet any of the Regi's.

Also, Ash's also seen some rare Pok?mon:
Garden of Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venasaur
Pack of Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise
Secret Garden of Pikachu (where's the Pichu?!)
A shiney Noctowl (I still haven't found a shiney yet, after over 250 hours!)
    A mountain full of Charizard
Archinine (supposedly a rare Pok?mon. Then again, Gary has one too...)
Dragonite (Remember giant Dragonite near Bill's lighthouse? Then again, Lance has one too...)
    Absol (like you said)
All of Ash's starters (as well as May's and Brock's; not able to capture in GB games.)
Snorlax (again; only can catch twice in Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver/Crystal, and FireRed/LeafGreen.)

I bet I missed some, so don't be afraid and tell me.

well, there is possibility that besides ash, there are otehrs trainers that sees lots of legendaries...we just dunno...btw,i tink ash did saw raikou..well,u mis 1 good 1,rukario!soon he will meet,in july at japan... besides,he also get to meet a lot of 4th generation pokemon.....he also get to see clones pokemon XD

I think Ash is really lucky. I mean he's probably like some sort of light creation or something. Hoho made him to bring peace and so he meets all the lengendarys. Thats really lucky.

    I'd say that yeah, Ash is remarkably lucky. And if other trainers have seen legendaries...only that they don't appear, it won't be a lot like Ash. I mean, he saw all of them, not to mention rare pokemon, and the ones traveling with him get lucky too because of that reason. I mean, if Misty, Brock, Tracey, May or Max haven't been going with him, what are the chances that they will run into some legendaries? The only one that I'm not sure he met is, yes, Raikou, (has to see it yet) and later he meets Rukario, and possibly the regis. Not to mention seeing Mew again, even though his memory got erased the first time, which is a plus cause he will hopefully remember the cat pokemon now. And...excuse for it being spoiler, he does meet Groudon and Kyogre (the real ones) in a two episode continuity in the Advance series. Which we still have to see in America. -_-;

Not to mention the heroic efforts he shows, helping them and stuff. I don't think any trainer or anything that relates to it, have ever experienced all that. Take in consideration though, that he is the main character in the series.

So, if that is not luck, I don't know what is.

Well since Ash IS the main character, he has to be different from all of the other trainers or the show would be more boring. =P

wow....so ash did see groudon n kyogre in the episodes?but then, how did he saw it?i suppose it is extinct?sorry cause i din folow the episodes....i am sure ash wil meet the regis....besides,i tink ash also get to meet the 4th gen pokemon first....although his memory being erase by the first time, but when in mewtwo returns, mewtwo did not erase it...so,he remember mewtwo but not mew as he did not see mew,so in the 8th movie,he will meet mew as his first seen XD

    Uh....yeah...Panghan7......*dizzy* @_@

    XD!

I guess he will remember as his first seen, unless mew does something that makes him remember in the movie or mew recognizes him. I'm hoping it doesn't though, cuz that would be cliche in a way. Kyogre and Groudon are not extinct, they are just resting/sleeping until they are awaken in the episodes. And the way he saw it is something you have to see. (I spoiled it for myself)

    Yeah...that's about it.

oh..yeah...sorry bout my grammar...at least u understand it XD...besides,i dont tink ash knows that the pokemon he meet on first day journey is named ho-oh XD

And Ash thought it looked like it was an Articuno. It was a flying yellow thingy. Man, he needs some glasses! (actually, he might look dorky with them on...)

Yeah, since somebody spoiled it for some people, (I sorta forgot to put those two on my list; I knew about it already) yes, Ash and friends are gonna meet Groudon and Kyogre in the future. (proabably after or during Pok?mon Chronicles)

And yes, being the main character does have its perks. Although, assuming that it has nothing to do with Ash's role, he's remarkably lucky!

Also noticed how many times Ash could have died. In all of the movies so far, he could have gotten himself killed at least once in all of the movies, and a few times in the episodes as well! And all the time, somebody's there to pull him out of trouble. (yay, Misty in number two!)

*Anyone noticed that Ash has never seen a group of wild starter Pok?mon besides the first three and their evolutions? What's goin on?!

hmm..u got a point they...however,1 thing i notice is that in the movie1:mewtwo strikes back...its kind of illogic as ash being 'revived' by pokemons tears...

yea,ash seems to no longer meet wild starters..btw,is they any evo for starters that are wild?etc, swampert in wild?

Ash boy is a total remarkable boys, hes totally no in danger in every movies...he could has lost his life man....

Did Ash really 'die' in the first movie? For some, being turned to stone isn't really a way to die.

Then again, it could represent an empty body since life has left the body. Who knows? It's up to you to decide.

And so far, Ash has only seen wild Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venesaur, Wartortle, Blastoise, and Charizard. And they're in groups. Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil, and Torchic, and their evolutions, have not been seen in groups. (I sorta forgot Treecko and Mudkip... Wow, I just gave a pointless arguement...)

And yes, Ash is an extremely reckless kid who doesn't think twice of his own actions. (except the second movie when he was nervous crossing the frozen ocean with the three Titans flying about, causing mass destruction all around them...) But he's reckless selflessly. He always jumps head first into situations when people or Pok?mon are in danger, giving himself no thought of safety, so as long as the person or Pok?mon would be safe. Now that's what I call dedication to friends!

The Pokemon World can be likened to the D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) universe. You have your 3 basic constants:

    1: Player-Characters (Trainers),

    2: Monsters (Pokemon),

    3: Gods (Legendary Pokemon).

How are these three constants related?

Your Trainers catch Pokemon to use in battle and against other Pokemon and Trainers. Meanwhile, your Legendary Pokemon govern the elements and specific Types of Pokemon, not including MewTwo (who I don't consider to be Legendary anyway).

Why is this important to know?

Just like in D&D where your characters often run into the Gods (and I'm using the Realms here because it's the easiest one to understand), in the Pokemon World, Trainers run into Legendary Pokemon on a daily basis. It has nothing to do with the fact that the Trainer might be the 'main guy' in a show, or the fact that it's a stereotype.

The emphasis that Satoshi Tajiri has been and still is (so far) trying to impose is that the hero of Pokemon, Ash is just a regular person with no special abilities. He isn't a 'chosen one', and he isn't a reincarnation of an ancient Warrior of Justice. And he's not the luckiest guy on earth. He's just there, and the events of the world are playing out around him, occasionally giving him a chance to have a hand in it.

Now, I'm not one to say that it'll definitely stay this way, but if you look at it from my perspective, it isn't a bad thing when you think about it.

Hey, I'm not tryin to argue with anyone. I like your explination, SBaby. I always did believe that the show was based on a game, an RPG of sorts.

But since we haven't seen many more trainers in action, besides Ash's group as well as Yoshi's, there's no evidence that other trainers have actually encountered with the legendaries.

I can't think of Ash as being 'normal', since normality isn't possible for everyone to except, expecially when one's view of normality conflicts with another. Whatever. Fate is a weird thing, isn't it?

    As I said before:

Anime stereotypism. It all works out for the hero because he's the hero. We should have an anti-hero for a change. Anti-heroes in Literature are awesome and unpredictable.. X3
