This might seem REALLY stupid but, I's just watching Inuyasha and Inuyasha keeps referring to Jakotsu as "he" and "him". I always thought Jakotsu's NOT a dude. Wait...that would mean Jakotsu's a... :paranoid:

As much as I'm embarrassed to admit it, I'm also troubled on the same thing. Though in the beginning of the series, Jakotsu is very manly. Wonder what happened. Maybe he got a sex change or was cursed.

No, he's just attracted to men... for some reason.
His voice actor is female for some reason, just can't remember, XD

._.;; Inuyasha wears a kimono as well. I know Kagome said something about Inuyasha's kimono in one of the episodes or one of the two movies.

    Yes...he's a "...". >_>

    Ya, Jakotsu is a ---.
But I didn't have a hard time accepting that though, since in most anime/manga series where there is an opposing team consisting of more than 5 people, usually one person there is a ---.

    Yep, Jakotsu's a guy ^^

Ever watched Rurouni Kenshin? Nobody notices this, but Katamatari's a guy too ^o^

    I've always been confused by this, but then again, even in the very few manga I read and anime I watch, there's always a lot of gender-bending (think about Hikaru no Go...I just don't see how Fujiwara-no-Sai can be me)...I always thought Jakotsu looked a bit too manly when she only wore her armor to be a girl...but I wasn't sure; I thought around the beginning of the Band of Seven arc I heard someone refer to Jakotsu as "he", but I thought I misheard it and just went on <_<; Now that I know for sure, I'm still a bit creeped by it. Imagine if Inuyasha found out that Jakotsu was male o_O;

Time to add a new verse to that song the children sing at times...
    Male has become female,
    Female has become male...

    XD

I'm tired of seeing this whole thing about jakotsu... He is a man and he is gay... JEEZ, really I have seen WAY too many topics about his gender... if you think his voice sounds like a womens in the english dub, Hear his japanese voice...

I find Jakotsu Hillarious. He isn't neccarally gay, just....strange.

Jakotsu, is like Amelda(Allaster) from Yu-gi-oh. At first I thought they were girls but I slowly came to realize. I read japanese episode guides for each anime and they kept referring to each of these charecters as she. I assumed they wew girls, but I found out Amelda was a boy. However, I still assumed that Jakotsu was a girl, until they sauid he. >_<

Lol, yeah. That really confused me at the time I saw it too XD;;; I was wondering why Kaoru and Yahiko kept referring to him as a "he", especially since in the dub he says something like "I'm just a little old lady with a scythe".

I saw Inuyasha last night and I noticed Inuyasha calling "her" a "him" as well. I thought it was probably something like the Katamari thing. It didn't surprise me too much; I've seen a few anime with things like this in it.

I always assumed that Amelda was just very athletic and a bit too comfortable with his own body; At the strangest, I considered that he may be a transexual, but he never exhibited any attraction to Raphael, Valon, or any other male in the show for that matter, so there's no way we can prove he's gay, unlike Jakotsu, who had an obvious attraction toward Inuyasha, not to mention other men in the show (Koga and/or Sesshomaru, I can't remember. I know he's done battle with all three.)
