Once going through diamond for the first time, there was a woman in snowpoint city who wanted to trade a haunter for a medicham. medicham are quite common in the area, so i go and catch one. i come back to the house and start the trade, expecting the haunter to evolve to gengar once finished, but nothing happened. after the trade was over, the woman tells me that her haunter was holding an everstone, so it won't evolve. that was just like the game saying to me "u mad bro?"

what are your biggest trolling moments in-game for u?

That's hilarious, haha. Anyway, as for me, I think I was trolled only once, when I was battling against a friend online on Platinum. He had a hacked Sableye on his team with Wonder Guard, which, of course, was literally impossible to take down. He'd defeated my entire team with that, and also wasted a lot of time along the way. :(

Oh god, the Haunter in-game trade. Game Freak know how to troll their loyal fans...at least I had a friend willing to evolve it for me. :p
Anyway, my biggest troll had to be when I battled a friend on my Platinum, for lols. My team was just my in-game team, they weren't leveled high or anything. Sadly, my friend had a level 98 Giratina. I got swept by Dragon Claw :(

You'd actually be surprised how many ways there are to get around a hacked Wondertomb/Wondereye:
-Worry Seed changes their ability to Insomnia
-Scrappy/Foresight makes it vulnerable to Fighting (which is super to Dark)
-Gastro Acid and Mold Breaker just say lolnope (suppresses any foe's ability except Arceus')
-Trick a Ring Target onto them
-Will-o-Wisp/Toxic can apply damaging statuses through Wonder Guard
-Trace WG onto your own Poke if you just feel like trolling them in kind
-Destiny Bond (although you'd lose your Poke in the process)
-Fire Fang was glitched in D/P to always hit through WG, probably fixed in later games though
-Mean Look+Perish Song takes 3 turns (4 counting Mean Look), but can't be avoided by a Rest-setup

Etc, etc. I actually really like facing Wondertomb/Wondereye because their team usually just revolves around that one Poke. Take it out, then sweep the rest of their team while they're still reeling from the fact that their l33th4x didn't work as planned.

I pretty much agree with the Haunter trade, you'd think it'd evolve into an awesome Gengar but nope the old trainer just had to stick an Everstone on the thing. I'd never want to get a Medicham if I know I'm getting something dumb from that trade.

All pokemon that capable of evovling thru trade, their trainers always willing to trade while holding a ever stone and for a well-trained (trade wanted pokemon) seems unlegit to me :P

The dudes in 5th gen that literally tell you they're blocking the gate for no reason and will leave one day...for no reason.
