No Lord, you don't get it. 45 is the BASE SP.ATK. Its BASE ATK is 125. The BASE is just an overall measurement. Look at www.serebii.net to see.

The average BASE POWER is 80. 45 is VERY LOW. However, its BASE ATK is 125. Extremely high.

You also misunderstood what Calcium does. They don't increase SP.ATK outright. They increase SP.ATK EV's. To learn what EV's are, go on the Diamond & Pearl section of this site & look at the EV training guide.

Also, don't get snippy. You need our help, remember?

    oh.. rite

    sorry.. my bad...

I wasn't gettin snippy.. i was just editin what i said..

    thanks anyways...

    ok..

I'll give you an example to help you.

    A Starmie's base SP.ATK is 100. Weavile is 45.

That doesn't mean that it can only go as high as 100/45. No, at lvl 100, Starmie's SP.ATK will be much higher than 100, & Weavile will be much higher than 45.

However, who do you think will have the most SP.ATK at lvl 100?

By looking at their BASE POWER, you can tell that Starmie would have much higher SP.ATK than Weavile, since her BASE SP.ATK is 100, & Weavile is a whopping 45.

    Get it?

I was going to post the exact same thing sims said, anyways serebii.net is a great site use that site next time you wanna look up stuff about Pokemon

    EDIT: Thanks sims

    right.. i get it now..

Are you crazy! No, don't give up on WEAVILE! (to hell with Sneasel).

The problem was, you were using it wrong. Its base ATK is 125! 1-20-frickin-5!!! And its SPEED is 120! Unheard of.

That means rather than Special attacks, go for Physical ones.

Rather than outright relying on it for Blizzard, go for Ice Punch. The move is weaker, but powerful in Weavile's hands. In fact, Lumine gave you a great set.

Sneasel not that great? o.0 you do know its pretty much an OU Poke, one of the most fearful sweeper out there, if you play your cards right hes deadly

    alright....

so.. physical instead of unphysical... that just leads me with one last thing; find a razor claw.. lol

Ok.. thanks to Sims and Lumine for helpin me.. can I add you two as friends?

Alright I dont mind hey, just make sure you do a lil bit of research before asking something to help you get an overview of what we're going to help you with

XD i wish weavile had 120 speed. then i wouldn't have to worry about scarfing up to 388. you have those 2 base stats mixed sims.

just had to point that out.

Whoops! Regardless, they are still very impressive.

    Base ATK:120
    Base SPD:125

Why has no one mentioned Anti Lead/Revenge Kill Weavile ?

    Weavile@Focus Sash/Choice Band
    Adamant / Jolly Nature
    252 ATT / 252 Speed / 6 Hp
    - Pursuit
    - Ice Shard / Ice Punch
    - Brick Break
    - Ice Punch / Night Slash / Aerial Ace

Pursuit Kills Gengar/Weak Psychic such as Azelf Leads if they Decide to stay in or switch regardless, unless they have focus sash (In which case yours will activate if they ko you..

Ice Shard for Dragons such as Scarf Chomp who thinks it can outspeed you, etc.

Brick Break for those Choice Band Tyranitar leads.

Last move is a Filler or another STAB move if you need that extra power to kill something.

Also just watch out for Gyarados leads as you will do squat to it, in fact any weavile set cant do squat to it after an intimidate.

Try this or Lumines set as both are great and work like charms.

That just means that Weavile has more options, but they all use physical moves.

Yeah, but you can't just thro3 on any attacks & call it a day.

Like you had Avalance. Physical. Ice. But weak, unless you attack last. Which, with Weavile's speed, it won't be doing. You'll have to learn the purpose of each attack, and what you want your pokes to accomplish.
