I want to join my friend's group. For some reason when we go to the basement Union Room, it doesn't give us the option to Mix Records. I have one gym badge, and my friend beat the game. My friend created his group by talking to the NPC in Jubilife. I haven't talked to him. Thanks for any help!

When outside of buildings, did you guys try clicking Y to make a Union Room and mix records through that? This is how we did it!

Just tried that out now per your advice, and it wasn't any different. We did it with a link code. But then when we talk to the NPC lady in the top left corner, she only says "Tell me more -> How to play/Battle/Trade/ Nevermind".

Oh, just click Y -> Call to select options when in the union room, mix records/trade/etc will be from doing that ❤️

It still only gave me the same options.

My friend and I are trying to do this in the Union Room, not the Local Room. Does it have to be Local?

Yeah, we did it via local, so it might only be limited to that. :x I don't have the option for online play either after checking just now, at least not currently (and neither does someone else I know). Maybe it's something they'll add later? But for now I don't think you can do it that way.
