How many Random Full-Odds Shiny Pokémon have you found before?

    While I was playing through Pokémon Soul Silver earlier, I found a random shiny Voltorb outside the Kanto Power Plant, making it the fifth random shiny I've encountered in Soul Silver. I seem to have a lot more luck with random shinies in Soul Silver than with any other games. At most I think I've found two random shinies in any other game.

    How many times have you found a random full-odds shiny while you were just passing through a route or a cave in a Pokémon game?
     
    A Hariyama or Makuhita in Emerald (I think it was fully evolves when I caught it, but am not 100% sure.)
    2 in HeartGold: a Magneton and a Graveler.
    A Foonguss in Black.
    An Ariados in Moon.

    So 5.
    I did catch a decent amount of mons shiny in grass patches in postgame Shield, but I had the shiny charm at that point.
     
    Mine are 3.

    1) I played Ultra Moon one day after much time. I was in the Desert and the first encounter is a shiny Krokorok.

    2) During my Pokemon Diamond playtrough as Lucian, I found a pokemon that had Pokerus and gave it to my pokemon lol.

    3) During my Pokemon Diamond playtrough as Lucian, I found a shiny Wingull and I caught it.

    If we count full odds as only the old ~1/8k then I ran into 5 random shinies: 2 in Black 2 (Audino and Dunsparce, same playthrough, two weeks apart from eachother and somehow both in shaking grass lol, these were also my first 2 shinies ever), 1 in SoulSilver (Graveler, route south of last Gym's town while leveling up for Claire and her Kingdra, caught it before it could explode thankfully), 1 in Pearl (Wingull, found it while backtracking and exploring water routes after getting Surf HM) and 1 in Heart Gold (Nidorina, found it while looking for the Lucky Egg on wild Chansey in Kanto, never got the Lucky Egg but the shiny makes up for it I guess lol)

    If we also count new ~1/4k odds as full odds then I found a few more: Pikipek and Zubat in Sun, Granbull and Gumshoos in Ultra Sun, Druddigon in Sword and I also found but failed a shiny Abra back in Y (it teleported after breaking out of the UltraBall).

    Quite a few. I remember Zweilous on Victory Road on X, Zubat somewhere in Fire Red and Hau'oli Cemetery in Ultra Moon, Spearow and Metapod in Azalea Town about 5 minutes from each other in Heart Gold. But I'm sure there were more. I remember finding Rattata, but I'm not sure where and if it was in Fire Red or Leaf Green, and I also found few more shinies in Ultra Moon during my Shiny Badge Quest.
     
    Before Gen VIII, I was UNGODLY lucky with full-odds Shinies.
    -In Platinum, I caught at least 5 - two Psyduck, a Magmar, a Banette and a Zubat. Honestly, I lost count, because I hunted a lot of Shinies with the PokéRadar.
    -In SoulSilver, I also caught a Tentacool on my way to the League.
    -In Black, I caught a Shiny Karrablast in my first run, and an Audino and Foongus almost back to back in my second.
    -In Y, I found a random Shiny Hoppip and Scraggy in hordes without actively hunting for them.
    -In Ultra Sun, I found two Shinies in Ultra Wormholes - a Stunfisk and a Yanmega. Yes, the odds are increased there, but some people haven't had a lot of luck with them.
    -In Let's Go, hilariously, I caught a Shiny Rattata in both my runs, and both in routes leading to Vermilion City!

    Come Gen VIII, I haven't caught a single shiny - not random, not hunted. Granted, I don't have BD/SP or PLA, but I wish Sw/Sh gave me at least one Shiny! ;_;
     
    Off the top of my head, Machop, Numel, Remoraid (Gen III, I was absurdly lucky there) and my favourite, a Golbat (Gen VII) in the abandoned warehouse.
     
    Not enough considering how long I've been playing lmao.
     
    I'm having more luck given when I started playing Pokémon in 2020 I kicked my Repel addiction - I can't move on from a route until I've caught everything.

    In the before (a PC member stole all my Pokémon as I only had one DS) times, I had a shiny Dragonite - I presume caught on LeafGreen - and Kricketot (my heart says Platinum yet timeline means Diamond), as well as a few traded ones (think I actually could've had 492/492 available if I'd only bothered to catch a Feebas).

    More recently in HeartGold I found a Gloom which is now a beautiful gold-leafed Vileplume, in Black a Litwick (now Chandelure in my Trick Room team), and in Black 2 on the same day an Emolga!

    Don't think I got anything in my Platinum save sadly.

    I've gotten quite a few GO shinies, then in Sword through max raids I've gotten 3 identical Shiny 6IV Milcery!!!! (First weekend of raiding too! Sundae the Shiny Alcremie went into my team), a Vibrava (now Flygon), and a Machop.

    I'm not sure if people would claim raids are easier (I wasn't looking, Machop was offline I believe) - if so I have 4, possibly 5. Otherwise 9 or 10 in literal thousands of hours of play, with 8 of those in 2022!

    Also since I got back into GO I've had a lot more luck - Abra, Magnemite, Marill, Slowpoke, Voltorb then Community Day Deino but I guess these don't count for this thread.
     
    I can't remember how many exactly, but quite a few! Most memorable being Rattata at the beginning of LeafGreen and a random Whismur when going through one of my first playthroughs in Sapphire. From the top of my head, there was also Wurmple which unfortunately evolved to Dustox aha.
     
    A single Oddish in my very first playthrough, from the Sapphire safari zone. Sadly, I no longer have the save file or the cartridge.
     
    All my Pokemon are full odds except Skwovet that I actually hunted & wormhole shinies. So, definitely ^8 in my Pokemon lifetime.
     
    For my random shinies that I can remember (not counting soft-resets/hunts):
    1. Crystal - Found a wild shiny Weedle while using Headbutt on trees in Ilex Forest.

    2. Emerald - Found a wild shiny Poochyena while running through the route west of Lilycove City

    3. FireRed - Found a wild shiny Pidgey while running around Route 1 after beating the game.

    4. Black - Found a wild shiny Cottonee as my first encounter in Pinwheel Forest after buying the game at midnight release. I was sooo pumped to use her on my Black Team. Her shiny sprite was also recorded in my Pokedex as it was my first 'Cottonee' encounter. Here is a screenshot of the original blog. I am more cringe than I remember lol.

    I remember playing Platinum (vanilla, no ROM hacks) and i happened upon a shiny Marill on Route 210 randomly as i was grinding before fighting Maylene. I recognized it immediately and lost it completely. I caught the Marill and named her Goldie. She's currently jammin' in my Black 2 file, doing absolutely nothing.

    Another one i found randomly was a Shiny Riolu in the Floccesy Ranch.... while we were house hunting in Florida. I was in the ranch for fun to see what i could find.

    "Oh, hey, look, a Mareep. Oh, hey, look, a Lillipup. Oh, hey, look, a Shiny Riolu. Wait, Shiny Riolu?!"

    I audibly gasped when the house we were in was dead quiet and everyone turned to me. Awkward. I got the Riolu and named her Jackie, though. I see that as an absolute win!

    There are more i'm probably forgetting but those two i remember very vividly. They're pretty iconic to me, really.
     
    I never seem to have much luck with random shines, but I did come across some:

    Generation II
    Electabuzz – I don't remember how, why, or when, but I have one in Pokémon Crystal and its shiny. This was a long time ago by the way, like ten years ago or so. My memory regarding how or where I got it is completely shot.
    Shellder – I remember coming across it when fishing in the water in New Bark Town, also about ten years ago.

    Generation VI
    Volbeat – I don't remember where I caught it, but I have it. I caught it like two years ago. In fact, I probably wasn't paying attention too much because I had no idea it was shiny until I randomly stumbled upon it in Pokémon HOME much later.

    Generation VII
    Magcargo – Found it in Ultra Space
    Xerneas – Ultra Space
    Dialga – Ultra Space
    Pheromosa – Ultra Space

    Generation VIII
    Spiritomb – Randomly hatched when attempting to breed one with better IVs
    Magnemite – Randomly hatched when breeding for IVs
    Psyduck – Also randomly hatched when breeding for IVs

    That's all I could remember for now. The rest of them were hatched purposely with the Medusa method, such as my Staryu and Rowlet, or done by constant resetting, such as my Reshiram in Omega Ruby that I transferred to Sword.
     
    A Tentacool in Gen 2, a Zubat in RSE, a Cutiefly in Ultra Moon... and that's all I remember. I don't stick with games for too long so it's very rare, especially in modern games in which you can Repel a lot because you barely need wild encounters to level up.

    I got quite a few more shinies than that, but only these I'm sure were full odds. I don't shiny-hunt but I found some while SOS chaining for certain Pokémon with HAs, using DexNav (especially in certain rom hacks), Ultra Space, etc. but those weren't full odds.

    Not counting Legends Arceus since I got more shinies there than in all of the main games combined, so it seems chances are obviously higher.
     
    I remember getting a shiny Zigzagoon way back in RSE when I was still starting to play and barely understood English (I didn't know how to save outside of Pokemon Centers so that was lost pretty quickly).

    Can't really remember getting more random shinies though, which makes sense, my playstyle usually involves very little wild battling.
