4th Gen How do you unlock the Cresselia event in Platinum?

I know it's not getting the National Dex because you need Cresselia to get the National Dex. I've already became Champion and caught Dialga and Palkia.

The Sinnoh 'Dex ends at Giratina; you don't need Cresselia for the National 'Dex. To unlock the Cresselia event, once you have the National 'Dex go to Canalave City (western-most city in Sinnoh) and enter the house nearest to the port (western side of the river, sailer should be standing there). Talk to the boy in the bed, and you'll discover he is having nightmares. Go outside and the sailor will offer to sail you to Full Moon Island. There you will find Cresselia, whereupon she'll roam Sinnoh. Take the Lunar Wing and return to the house in Canalave to give the item to the boy in the house, curing him.

Like GI said, you do need the National Dex as it is not in the Sinnoh Dex.

Sound like the same as D/P I was informed that the Sinnoh Dex was expanded to include every Gen 4 Pokemon in Platinum. Hell you even need Manaphy who's an event Pokemon lucky I play Pokemon Ranger or I may have never seen or obtained Manaphy.

You don't need Cresselia to get the National Dex. And it is the same way you get Cress in DP.

Nope. Else you'd need all three event Pokémon at the tail end of the Pokédex (Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus), and some people just aren't able to obtain them.

The only added pokemon in the Sinnoh Dex were the evolutions like Electivire and Magmortar since they weren't in the D/P sinnoh dex

Actually, Cresselia is an event Pokemon. You must obtain the National Dex, and then go to Canalave City and go to Full Moon Island for the Sailor.

In platinum you can see manaphy in a book in backalots mansion
