I have been watching videos and downloading programs like crazy! Can somebody please help me!!

.BIN (Binary) files are used by programs for specific actions and are not meant to be opened. If you open them with any text editor a bunch of important characters that look like just random jumbles. I don't think you should try manipulating them.

The above two posters are only giving part of the picture. There are a number of different programs that use .bin as an extension. There's the one ahahahwhatever mentioned, which is a type of proprietary disc image. There's also what Advanced mentioned, which is that some programs use the extension for their data files. I also believe that StuffIt uses .bin for its archive files, which, given the way you phrased the question, is most likely what you have. There are also other types of .bin files that are completely unrelated to those that have been listed.

Actually Stuffit uses the .SITx file extension, though it does see .bin files as archives. As far as I know you cannot save a .bin file from even the deluxe edition of Stuffit. I do know that some programs use .bin files for resource compilations.

When you figure out how to launch homebrew and backups via the SD Card slot, call me.

I can copy data from the DSi to the SD Card. The data can be copied, all I need to know is how to change a few things.
