4th Gen How do I get to Sunyshore city?

I need only one badge...or should I got to Mt. Coronet to catch Dialga right now? How do I get to it?

You need to have the following HMs in your party:
Surf
Waterfall
Strength
Rock Smash
Rock Climb

Where do I get Waterfall?

You don't need Waterfall to get Dialga.

Did you go to The Team HQ?

Enter Mt Cornet from the southern western end(the clostest to Oreburgh) once entered go up and surf east, asfter that use rock climb then enter the stairs. Then just press on.

Now head east to get to the lower level and go inside the cave opening.

This opening is blocked by some kind of "cave painting". How do I get through it?

Enter Mt. Cornet from the Right/Central entrance and go dow until u see galactic grunts.

But the entrance to that area is blocked by some kind of "cave painting"!

I dont think so. I cant really remember because the story was very brief.

There is a section on the far north eastern part of Mt. Coronet that you get to. There is a villa type area which has a cave entrance to the right alongside it and right on the end there is a rock climbing surface. If you stand right in front of this there is another on the left side. \i remember missing this bit because I couldnt see it properly. You climb up that one and keep on following the path where it takes you. If youre on the right tracks you will find a cave entrance where you fight a line of Galactic grunts as you climb some spiral-like stairs in the cave. Hope that is some sort of help.

The Cave Painting means you haven't gone to Team Galactic's HQ in Vielstone!

I'm on the snowy mountain-top right now, do I need to get Waterfall, and if so, where?

No you don't need waterfall.
And if you're ontop keep going left until you go into a cave.
