Did you win by a freckle, or a hair?
I cheated, big time. Back then, I only trained my starter, so I only had one strong pokemon, and couldn't win. So I used the cloning glitch, and made a team of six Typhlosions, and completely and utterly annihilated the Elite 4 for the first time.

So, what's your story? Did you cheat, or did you play by the rules?

Seriously, how could you NOT beat them? All Pokemon under level 50? C'mon!!!!

I used a Typhlosion, Ho-oh... and like one other. For some reason I don't really remember my first G/S/C team... and I wonder why it was lacking Amphy yet packing Furret. :(

I had a level 56 Typhlosion, a level 45 Lugia, a level 42 Suicune and a mid forties dragonair by the time I got there

When you compare Johto's Elite Four to others, yes they're the weakest link and had the lowest level rate, but Johto wasn't exactly that easy for everything and everybody now. ;D It may have been for you. And overall, let's face it, fire types had it easy street while grass starting trainers had a much harder road. :P So, just because you had an easy go, doesn't necessarily mean others didn't have a rough time. I struggled to defeat the Johto Elite Four, so c'mon, people can have a tough time for any Elite Four. ;D

Anyway, shifting on topic. I played by the rules, I always do. It's tough to remember back so far. I know I had a Meganium, seeing as I selected Chikorita. Hmm, Raikou and Suicune I think too. Those three are the only ones I really remember. I believe I struggled to keep myself healthy from status and such. I remember using a ton of items to win it. Back then I wasn't that great at Pocket Monsters, I mean I was just a little kid. XD I had a tough time, but with the help of items, I got through. I remember Lance's Dragonite giving me a real pain. I believe I used a combination of my legendaries and items to get past things. But mmm, I wish I could remember it clearly, I'd love to tell more about it. ;/ Seeing as those days were such great times. :D

The first time I tried, I was one of those 10 year old idiots who spent the entire game powering up one pokemon, never captured a legendary, and then had an impossible time when the elite Four came around X_X Still, after throwing a Kadabra against them thirty or so times, I finally hit 82 or so, and managed to do it some how XD I believe I was just lucky the time I did do it though. I couldn't reliably get through until I had traded the thing into an Alakazam, and got it to 90 or so in Kanto.

The second time, I was smarter and older XP I got through with a Ho-oh, another Kadabra (it was my favorite at the time), and a Haunter. Ho-oh did most of the work, if I remember correctly, and I managed to get through on my second try, I think.

Of course I've gone through the games several times in between then and now, but none were note-worthy. Right now I'm trying to do it with only Eeveelutions XP

I don't rememeber the team I had, but I always made sure my teams level was around 45-55. ;]

Basically through whoring a L56 Kadabra. The way I see it, nothing wrong with that considering I levelled it up all the way from Abra. Houndoom gave me fits though, was complete luck that when Eevee used Bite on it after it had dropped Kadabra, it flinched. At least I think it did, Eevee (level 23 at the time) attacked first next turn.

I beat the E4 legit the first time, just barely I think. Then the rest of the times I just cheated on through with a level 100 with 999 on every stat. I've got whats like an AR for gold and silver. It edits every stat for your character...like name, pokemon in your party, money, everything. Oh yea and you can edit every pokemon stat too :)

Level 74 typhlosion and i blew them out.

I don't remember exactly which Pokémon I had on my team, but I do remember that most of the fighting was performed by my Meganium. Ever since I started playing Crystal, my Chikorita was pretty much the only Pokémon I trained, so it was definitely more developed than any of my others, which made defeating the League slightly difficult. With the help of some restore items, I managed to beat it without too much of a problem though.

This was my team in Crystal:

Can't remember my Gold team. Anyways
Dragonair Lvl 52: I got from Dude at Blackthorn Cave or whatever. Endless training with this.
Ampharos Lvl 61: Captured early as Mareep. Pwns everyone.
Suicune Lvl 56: Captured at Tin Tower in event. Trained. Kills Bruno royally.
Meganium Lvl 65: Because it had massive type disadvantage, trains most.
Cleffa Lvl 54: Hatched from that egg that can give you any baby pokemon. Never could do the 'frienship' thing so I kept it like this. The little guy kicked ass though.
Golem Lvl 60: Had from beginning, evolved with trade. Swaped out at the very end to Self-Destruct Lance's Dragonite.

Will was really easy with Dragonair and Amphy.
Koga was owned by Golem and Suicune mostly.
    Bruno was all Meganium.
Karen was really hard I though but Suicune got me out.
Lance was mother f---king hard for me but I scraped by.

My first time was with a Feralagater and an Ampharos.

I normally place all my money with my "mom," then go through the first guys a couple times without items, to get a feel for my 'mons strengths against them, stocking up on items with my spoils(amulet coins are your friends) Then do a full raid.

    Tis easy.

I try not to use legendaries to do anything but take up time while I use revives/full restores/full heals/ hyper potions/etc...

I don't mind whiting out, especially when I come prepared to.

i remember i used typhlosion and my ho oh and my shiny gyarados my typhlosion was around level 70 at the time he was all i trained with

The elite 4 was pretty easy, and I never cheat on a game that I worked hard to get far at. What is the point then?

The first time I went to challenge the Elite Four, I had no chance to beat even Bruno but I keep training my Typhlosion and my party and I became victorious....But that was in my Gold version..... In my Crystal, I was just lucky for catching my Suicune, It was then when my Suicune leveled up into Lv. 41 and learned Aurora Beam after beating the Elite Four Karen..... The Champion Lance had no chance at all beating my Suicune's Aurora Beam becuz he's a dragon trainer. I finally beat up his Lv. 50 Dragonite with my Lv. 57 Typhlosion........

Lol its hard to remember that far back but I used a lvl 67 Typhlosion, a lvl 64 Pidgeot, and I think I used Ho-oh. I swept the E4

My level 70ish Feraligatr beat them entirely alone.

I used my Lv. 100 Meganuim and Lugia. I didnt have many problems which was cool. A level 100 cause lots of damage even to pokemon that aren't that affective

I don't remember my team...but I always use Lugia in Silver...and in Crystal I used Lugia and Suicune, along with my starter and a few other Pokemon.
