How can Charizard know Heat Wave?

I'm stumped. I've heard several people say to have one of Charizard's attacks be Heat Wave. But exactly how does it learn it? It doesn't seem to get it on its own or as an egg move. How does Charizard learn Heat Wave?

Then how come it doesn't show up on its Egg move list?

Actually, Kholdstaire, that is incorrect. Charizard can only learn Heat Wave as Charizard by visiting the move tutor on Two Island. By giving him two tiny mushrooms, or one big mushroom, he can make Charizard remember Heat Wave. That is the same way i got my Dewgong learn Signal Beam.

and in case anyone does not know, you can get tiny mushrooms from wild Paras as a hold item.
