    [PokeCommunity.com] Hoenn League

In Hoenn, our Gym Leaders consisted of Roxie, Brawly, Wattson, Flannery, Norman, Winona, Tate and Liza, Juan, and Wallace; they specialized in rock, fighting, fire, normal, flying, psychic, and water. Elite Four, they were Sidney, Phoebe, Glacia, and Drake, and their type specialties were dark, ghost, ice, and dragon. As far as Champions go, they were Steven and Wallace--they differentiate between whatever game you play. If it's Ruby and Sapphire, it would be former. For Pokémon Emerald, it's latter.

Of all these people, who did you have the toughest time battling against, and why? Which of their Pokémon do you think was most difficult to take down? What did your team consist of when fighting? Overall, what are your thoughts on Hoenn League? If it were up to you, is there anything that you would change? If so, what would it be, and how it all work?

    Let's discuss!

Oh my god. The only league with a freaking double gym battle. Instantly my favorite! Such a variety, and it actually gets really hard near the end! (or at least in Emerald) I liked every Gym Leader and Elite 4 member pretty much, I don't dislike any of them because there's nothing really wrong with them, but for difficulty: I'm gonna go for Wallace's master, Juan.

Most of his team is fairly easy to handle, but don't think you'll win so easily. That pesky Kingdra of his will set up a million Smokescreens until the point where it's impossible to hit it; then you are bombarded with Surf. Oh trust me, the rage is real. You don't know what annoying is in a Pokémon game until you reach this stage. It'll make you cringe. I mean it.

There is Watson too. He wasn't a status spammer or anything like that; just genuinely hard. His fast, hard hitting Magneton was quite the diggity-bomb. It could pretty much KO a Marshtomp in seconds, unless you get that Mud Shot off. And it's even worse with Manectric. It's super fast, but by luck I managed to make it faint fast so I didn't know it's potential. I presume it was even more difficult then Magneton! D:

As for the Elite 4, I didn't have a great deal of trouble against them. I really liked their designs though. Drake and Phoebe were awesomely unique! However that Dusclops of Phoebe's is potentially dangerous. If I'm correct it has Flamethrower, and I don't quite know the other name. But she has two. One is lethal, while the other; not so much. Same thing with Bannette too, I guess. Drake wasn't much of a problem if you had an Ice-Type, which I luckily did have on hand.
