Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Walkthrough!​

Info/Prologue:
I've always wanted to make a guide to this game. If this isn't the right place, then please inform me then move it.
So, using only a little info, I made one. Or, in other words, is going to.
Let the walkthroughing begin!

New Bark Town

1. After filling in all the info about yourself, you can actually play. That's the point of a game, no?
2. Walk down the stairs in the upper right corner of your room...That's where they always tend to be, thinking about it.
3. After an annoying conversation with your mom, you should exit the house. Otherwise, there's no point in playing.
4. Go the Lyra/Ethan's house (Boy=Lyra, Girl=Ethan)
5. Now, head to the lab. 'Yay!' you think.
6. Enter the lab...
7. Walk up to Prof. Elm...
8. Talk with him...
9. Walk over to the weird red? thingy...
10. Chose your Pokémon!
Cynaquil
Totodile
Chikorita
11. With your new Pokémon, Prof. Elm will assign you a task; to go to Mr. Pokémon's house and pick something up from him.
12. Before heading off, go get the Pokégear off your mom.

Route 29-Cherrygrove City-Route 30-Mr. Pokémons house. And back.
1. Exit New Bark town.
2. Follow route 29, which is a little harder than it looks.
3. Arrive at Cherrygrove City.
4. The guide gent shows you around the town, explaining the basics of the game.
5. Get the running shoes off guide gent.
6. Exit the city to get the map card for the Pokégear of Guide Gent.
7. Keep going up route 30, battling trainers.
8. Finally, arrive at Mr. Pokémon's house.
9. Get the Pokédex off Prof. Oak, and the Egg off Mr. Pokémon
10. Head down the way you came.

Rival Battle!

Along the lines of the game, you'll bump into a dude. Red hair. Takes the mickey of the main character...Best bit is, you get to name him. Here's my recommended name list:

Poo, wee, something along the lines of that.
Chucky, Chuck.
Idiot
NiNcOmPoOp
A girl's name= UglyBetty, Sarah, Emily, Millie...etc...

First time through, your rival will have the Pokémon strong against your starter, and that's all. He's easy. Serious.

New Bark Town - Returning

1. Enter the lab.
2. A policeman will be there. Your rival apparently stole his Pokémon.
3. The policeman suspects you...Dun-dun-dun...
4. Enter your Rival's name.

Back along route 29-30-Violet City

1.Walk along route 29, until you get to cherrygrove city.
2. Exit the city at the north
3. Follow route 30 until Mr.Pokémon's house.
4. When you're at Mr. Pokémon's house, turn west, and keep going.
5. You'll come across a gate. Go through it.
6. Heal your Pokémon at the Violet Pokémon center.
7. Go north to the sprout tower.

Sprout Tower

1. Walk in the door...
2. Run up to the ladder.
3. Continue upwards, battling the sages on the way. They only use bellsprout.
4. When you're at the top, you'll see the red head kid.
5. Battle sage Li. Slightly harder.

Violet City Gym!

There's only two trainers in this gym. Use them to train your Pokémon up. I suggest catching a Mareep from the route south from Violet City.

Leader Falkner

This dude is laughably easy. His team is made of this:

Pidgey lvl. 9
Pidgeotto lvl. 13

Beat him to get the Zephyr Badge.

- Getting bored of writing. Do more later.

Why on earth would you waste time making a guide. 1) The game came out over a year ago. 2)There are already countless guides to this game including tons of gamefaqs and ign's and gamespot's. 3)You are just wasting time, the likely hood of you bringing something new to the guides is nil. 4) Imagine what you could be doing with the time you're wasting making this thing. You could be building a website, learning to program, do some excersise. ect. Earning millions.

Anyways, Jesspke, I think this is the wrong section for a walkthrough. There's a Let's Plays/Walkthroughs section where you should move this to. Anyways, I look forward to seeing your walkthrough. Good luck!

I'm not wasting my time. It's the only thing I've got to do. If you're going to comment like that, then I suggest it's you who's wasting your time. 5-6 minutes of your life wasted. At least I might be helping a few people.

I'll offer some crit because crit is cool if it's constructive and to not tolerate any is just plain silly. Maybe you just mean the kind of crit which says 'you shouldn't do this', etc, rather than the kind about how to improve it (because hey, if you want to do a guide of a game you like and you'll enjoy that, go for it!) but if so be careful with throwing around phrases like that.

As a note, glance at the Let's Play, Guides and Reviews section's rules as although I personally think this thread would be fine for now (but that's really up to the mods of that section, not myself) you could add a bit more to it in regards to the 'Be descriptive, be informative and be accurate!' note mentioned there on guides. So maybe detailing some more on what routes look like, what Pokemon other characters have (levels = more informative for instance beyond 'they all have bellsprout' with the sages which isn't really correct anyway as some have Hoothoot), mention there's an oft-ignored Potion to the right side of Route 29.... and what Pokemon you could get in each route for instance would be good ways to expand on what you already have.

And there's some other things too such as the Apricorn case in route 30 in the house just north of Cherrygrove not mentioned here, and the fact iirc the Guide Gent gives the map before the running shoes and a lack of mention about the Dark Cave... So yeah, check some of the info you have and add more to it, I suggest, and it could turn out to be quite good. Maybe you just want it to be brief but even then a bit more info here and there would still keep it brief and be that much more informative, and hence more useful for readers! Hurrah for it being structured already though.
