Does anyone know a good Heracross moveset? Sry, i had was in a hurry when i made this.

Well, im no expert, but my Heracross is a killing machine.

Item@ Black Belt or Choice Band

    Earthquake
    Close Combat
    Stone Edge
    Mega Horn

Now, ive never tried the choice band, but this movset makes Heracross alot more versitale against all types, including flying, which is a major when using Heracross. Also, i don't know if you use EV's (i don't) but try giving it attack speed EV's?

Speak for yourself, Problem is with choice band, w/e your pokemon runs out of the specified moves PP, it automatically switches to the move flail rather then let pick anothe move.

actually it's true. you shouldn't use 10% boosting items for one type of move. it's silly. might as well use expert belt then if you don't like the decrease in hp from life orb. choice items are awesome though, and since you're going to be switching a lot anyway the inability to use different moves don't hurt as much as you think. having a rapid spinner certainly helps(or at least a stealth rocker to even the field on both sides).

flail? if only! flail would be awesome on heracross.. it's not reversal but man.. heracross is often banged up by the time it runs out of close combat so flail would actually be pretty darn good at that point, lol.

Ah, I'm glad to see this a thread about this. I've been curious about running a Burn Orb Heracross (BurnCross) to trigger Guts. Any thoughts?

Try that on a swellow. Heracross could get away with it if all the fast pokemon at knocked out but it's a little slow to pull it off. swellow's the perfect candidate for that though. Jolly Tauros is a good candidate too.

    Heracross @ Choice SCARF
    Adamant [+Atk, -SpAtk]
    Ability: Guts
    252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 HP
    -Megahorn
    -Stone Edge
    -Close Combat
    -Pursuit

If you use Pursuit on a pokemon that is switch out, it will let you use a different move after.

And no. Burn cuts Attack in half so you would have exactly the same attack as before.

    *cough* Toxic Orb *cough*

    *cough* Rest, Sleep Talk *cough*

A choice scarfed Hera is hard to take down..so yea go with scythers moveset. Maybe change pursuit to night slash..but its your choice.

Not if the Poke has Guts. Guts negates the attack loss and applies the boost, so end result is the attack is the same if they have Burn or Toxic. Burn does less damage and is thus better.

I don't know why people think that Guts negates Burn's attack lose... it doesn't you end up with 75% of the original attack because of burn and guts not cancelling

Okay, I'm sorry but I'm new to the burn/toxic orb, do they both lower your attack or just the burn orb. Also does it lower swellow's attack if you use it also?

Neither of the items lower Attack. The burn condition lowers attack, while Poison just deals damage. However, Guts negates the attack drop from burn and gives you the 50% Attack boost like it would with any other status. And as long as Swellow has Guts, no, its Attack won't be lowered.

Actually, the attack will still be cut by 50%, then raised by 50% of the burn reduction.

    Guts
    Game's Text:
    Ups Attack if suffering.

    In-Battle Effect:
Attack raises to 1.5 times the normal when induced with a status (Burn, Paralyze, Sleep, Poison, Freeze). Burn's effect of lowering Attack is still applied.
Now let's say for example, Ursaring has guts with say, 350 Attack. His Attack would be 525, but then it'd still be cut in half with the burn condition to 262.5.

So yeah, Toxic Orb, far better than Flame Orb. You just have to attack quickly.
