Im just curious, whats the difference between these 2 and the old gold and silver? Just remakes?

if u wanna find out everything then go to serebii.net and find the Heartgold and Soulsilver section but pretty much well first any of the 493 pokemon can follow you if its first in ur party, but besides that theres just pretty much a truck load of new features that gold and silver or any other pokemon game enevr had,it has pokewalkers, the pokethlon, commemoratie photos, you get lugia and ho-oh in both games just at different points, but i can barely scratch the surface on everything about it so yea just go check it out on serebii.net

Along with what has been said above...

Other than just a remake, HeartGold and SoulSilver does include extra features that have never been implemented in other games before (i.e. the GB Player, Pokéathlon, etc.) It does give a revamp to the original Gold and Silver, but it also includes some of Crystal's features as well - Extreme Speed Dratini, Battle Tower with the Battle Frontier, Eusine, Suicune Subplot, and more. However, there is so much more than before other than just the updates graphics and the inclusion of the 3rd and 4th Generation Pokémon; it opens up new routes and brings back places that were unavailable in the originals such as the new Safari Zone located near Cianwood City.

If you wish to know more about the games, then I suggest you do take a visit to the site GSCyndaquil19 was referring to (https://serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/) to learn more about the differences HG/SS may have from their original counterparts.

Next time however, please do you use HG/SS Help Thread we have available for further questions you may have. ;)
