2nd Gen Haircut Brothers

Downstairs in the Goldrenrod Tunnel, there were two brothers who will give your Pokemon a "haircut". By doing so, it'll raise your Pokemon's friendship from between 1 to 10 points. In generation IV, this will also raise the Beauty contest stat. This is the only way to evolve Feebas in HG/SS, btw.

Another equivalent in other of the older generations in this game are getting your Pokemon a massage. It will also increase friendship.

Did you make use of the Haircut brothers in G/S/C/HG/SS? I pretty much mostly ignored this feature in more recent playthroughs. Something I wasn't aware of, though, is that this is the only way to evolve Feebas you were to get from the Pokewalker, though. That's cool.

I've made use of the Haircut Brothers in the past when I was trying to evolve my Eevee into an Espeon during one of my older Soul Silver playthroughs. It was handy having them around when you needed to have high friendship to evolve certain Pokémon, but in my most recent Soul SIlver file I had no Pokémon that needed high friendship to evolve, so I didn't really bother with the Haircut Bros on that file.
