3rd Gen Guts+facade+STAB on Swellow

My god that is hella power on a pokemon.

I was playing then I got burned on a rematch from flannery. So then my Swellow OHKO'd all her pokemon.

See...

With guts when you are paralysed, burned or poisoned your attack is multiplied by 1.5. Then I have Facade wich has a base power of 70, but that doubles if you have a status problem.

so 140 x 3=420 O_O Because 1.5 and 1.5 is 3, I got STAB and Guts

when you use a move of the same type its power multiplies by 1.5 or 50%

Swellow can pack a nice punch with Facade, especially if you figure in a Choice Band:

140 (Facade with status) x 1.5 (Guts) x 1.5 (STAB) x 1.5 (Choice Band) = 472.5 damage, before Defence/resistances. That is a mighty punch, considering Explosion is 250, 375 with STAB (and 562.5 with CB and STAB).

It's fun to use in Double Battles, where you use the slightly faster Crobat (base 130, Swellow is base 125) to set Swellow up with Toxic to trigger Facade.
