There is no such nurse in any Pokemon game that is named 'Joy'. Nurse Joy is strictly from the anime. No where in any game does the game mention that the Nurse is named 'Joy' she could be a docter for all we know (it may say somewhere that she is a nurse, I'm not sure about that part).

    Spoilsport :\

Anywaayy. Yeah, I noticed that.. I just didn't think much about it.
"Oh she's got green hair, that's nice."
Maybe the Hair for each Nurse Joy was a different color at first, but then changed due to the Cartoon/Anime?
    Just a thought.

They're clearly based on the same character, there's no need to be like that :\

Anyway, it really stood out to me, too. I was like "wtf, who is that?" Then I realized it's the same nurse but with green hair for no apparent reason. I suppose it's just some random little thing they threw in to see how many people would notice.

Agreed with the other two. The Pokemon fanbase has just christened her as Nurse Joy in the game because of her uncanny resemblance. No reason to come in here and ruin the fun, and that's coming from me of all people.

Anyway, I never really noticed that. I guess I just don't spend my time in Fuchsia? But that is pretty crazy. She's the rebel of the bunch. xD

now its making me wonder, is the same (lets call her nurse pokemon) in heartgold and soulsilver?
that would be so crazy if they kept that from gold and silver

If the nurse in the pokemon center is not "Nurse Joy," then who is she? But any way that is weird.

Wait, where was that question asked?[/SARCASM]

Hmmmmm..... I guess I never noticed either! Is this in 1st or 2nd gen? (Fuchia is in both)

EDIT: Oh, duh, lack of multiple colors in first gen (minus yellow version). Anyway, I wonder why they did that?
    *Google*
    It's mentioned on Bulbapedia. *copypaste*

"In Generation II, the Nurse in Fuchsia City has green hair. It is unknown if this has any significance. Interestingly, in the second floor of all Generation II Pokémon Centers, there are multiple green-haired nurses."

Huh. So the nurses that did trades have green hair, too?

She's just the Pokémon nurse. There's nothing in the games that says she's NOT "Nurse Joy," though. She is not "Nurse Joy" in the same way that the R/B/Y playable character is not "Ash." They're just the gameworld equivalent of the anime characters. You can go ahead and call her Nurse Joy just like you could name your R/B/Y playable character Ash. It doesn't make a difference because it's two different canon universes.

As to the OP's comment, no, I'd never noticed that. Maybe it has to do with limited palettes? I remember that in Pokémon Yellow, every town was a certain color, and so all the characters inside that town were rendered with the same colors--including the nurse, so she could have blue or green or orange or whatever hair depending on the town. What gen is this? I figure GSC since you mentioned Johto. I know GSC have a much more expanded palette than RBY, but maybe the palettes are still limited enough that they could manage to have pink for their nurses in every town except Fuchsia, and there they ran out of colors and had to make do with pink?

Unlikely, though. Either it was an error, or the game developers are just messing with our heads. (Or, she's not really an official Pokémon nurse, but a ninja from the Fuchsia Gym masquerading as one.)

Yeah i noticed that when i was last playing silver is it a bug that nintendo didn't get rid off?

    The very weird thing is...
Why there is nurse Joy in every Pokémon center? (the same thing also happened in anime)

    Back to the topic:
    Oh, I haven't notice it...
    Maybe, I'll check it...

What's your problem? It's definitely Nurse Joy base on the Anime.

Nurse Joy in Fushia has green hair? Never noticed. I go check it out...

    *checks*

Wow, now that you mention it, you're right! Wew, weird...

    Green hair, huh? How peculiar.

Perhaps they changed her hair green because everything else in the town was pink and they wanted the player to be able to spot her easily...

    xX

Really ? Hmmmm.... that is odd . Thinking of EVERY gen that had pinked-haired nurses and one in Fuchsia making an exception xD
