5th Gen Genesect

Gensect was a mythical Pokemon introduced in Gen 5. You could get it through a wifi event in B2/W2 back in 2012. Upon getting one, it will trigger an event where you can get a couple of drives to give your Genesect to hold to change the type Techo Blast becomes.

Were you able to get a Genesect back when there was a Genesect event? I wasn't able to until the DNS exploit was found...

 

[Bug]

I had one during the event, but I don't have it anymore because of reasons. I remember it being one of the cooler giveaway events that Nintendo did though. It was more like an event pokemon like they had in the earlier gens.

Update: after a quick google search it turns out it was just a mystery gift and not an event. What?? Am I going crazy? Lol, I swear I remember interacting with Genesect before catching it.

I think sometimes event and mystery gift are used somewhat interchangeably

I remember getting one back when B2W2 first released, think I had gotten a shiny one too at some point. idk which game they're sitting on though

I remember this! I misplaced my Genesect somewhere, but White 2 was my re-entry to the series since Diamond (went on hiatus then, but I haven't been on one since) and was really surprised to find that I was able to obtain it so easily.
