4th Gen Gameplay problem...

    I just earned my 7th badge at Snowpoint City. I'm somewhat following the [official] walkthrough book. I remember when I first went through 217/Acuity Lakefront there was suposed to be two grunts blocking Lake Acuity...but there weren't any. I didn't think anything about it, went and got my 7th badge then the walkthrough told me to go see my rival at Lake Acuity. The grunts should have left AFTER I got my badge...not before and I was suposed to be able to see Commander Jupiter but she wasn't there. I tried talking to my rival but he just said to go get my 8th badge...but I can't do that until I do the Galactic HQ thing because the guy won't let me through. I know I have an official game, I bought it at Circuit City.

    Last night my cousin took my game and traded me all the Pokemon I hadn't seen...even legendaries so I have a complete Pokedex now...could that have been the problem?

    I also can't find the Galactic Key...both the Galactic Warehouse and the Galactic HQ are completely blocked off once I get inside...
     
    Did you try the lake near Twinleaf? There should be an event there.

    I'll try...but my rival is at Lake Acuity, not Lake Verity...

    Edit: I'm going to ad this part of the Marriland.com D/P Walkthrough so you can see what exactly is wrong...
    "As you approach the outside of the lake [Acuity] , you'll see some Galactic Goons lurking around.

    Inside of the lake itself, you'll see Rival and Jupiter battling. They'll finish and Jupiter will tell you that she is going to the Headquarters in Veilstone City now that her mission is complete. She'll then leave...fly to Veilstone..."

    NONE of that has happened.

    In the next section it says something about there being a Galactic Grunt in front of the Galactic HQ that drops the Galactic Key...there isn't one there... -.-

    I had this problem both times I went through but just chck all lakes, HQs, and in front of the safari zone
     
    rofl i remember this bit i did it 2 got scared i just missed the guy outside the safari zone...
     
    Aha! Thanks guys! I went to all the lakes and I finally figured it out. *feels silly*
     
    Which spot did you miss, im guessing the front of the safari when you have to chase the guy

    lol i knew it its the easiest mistake 2 make so many ppl do it so dont feel embaressed thats what we are here 4 to help u out!
