I hope this is in the right place (my apologies if it's not)
Anyways I want to purchase another Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter for my SP so I can trade and play wirelessly between my pokemon Sapphire and Emerald games. I have two questions about the Adapter, one referring to it on it's own, and one referring to its effect on the pokemon games.
    1) Where can I find this adapter besides buying it online from the nintendo store? Can I find it in a place like Walmart or EBgames?
    2) What does the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter let you DO exactly in the two pokemon games. I know it can let you battle and trade just as you would via game link cable, but are there any added features? Anything else to it?

All help is appreciated. Thanks so much you guys! :)

By Wireless adapter do you mean the little thing you put on top of the SP? Or something that uses wifi like the DS (there could be one for sp... I dunno...) if its the first one, don't buy it. It has like a 10 foot range or something, and its just lame. i have never used it. I just trade with my brother using a link.

Save your money and get a DS + D/P for wireless trading... + a sweet game... lol

Yes, the Wireless Adapter is the thing you put on top of the DS.

However, if you're wanting to trade between advanced games, DON'T wait for D/P and Wi-Fi, as that doesn't do anything with the advance games.

Also, the Wireless adapter acts as a link cable, so you can trade, battle, etc.

You don't put it on your DS you put it on your SP and I would rather buy a link cable instead because it's cheaper.

Oops, sorry, I meant SP. I had both on my mind at the same time.

right 1stly you only get them with selected games or nintendo. and ebay etc... 2nd you cant use it with sapphire anyway .

Oh, really? I had no idea you couldnt use it with sapphire.. Maybe I'm better off just getting a link cable? I already have a DS and Im going to purchase Diamond when it's out, but for now I'd like a link cable to get things done in Sapphire, Emerald and FireRed. How much do you think they are canadian?

I mean I want to trade pokemon/items, EV train, Fill up the pokedex, that type thing. When D/P comes out I'll be able to use the wireless capabilities obviously, but the GBA doesnt have wireless trading unless its with that thing I mentioned before. The wireless adapter. If it's not as cheap, and isn't always dependable with range, then I might as well just buy a link cable to get done what I need done. Can anyone confirm whether the adapter does or does not work with the Third Gen games? (R/S/E as well as FR/LG) - Thanks

The adapter only works for FR/LG/E . S/R were made before the thing was even invented (well maybe it was in development...) . So , yes , and sorry , you can't use it in sapphire.

Don't know about prices, but the Wireless Adapter lets you do the same things you'd do with a link cable, and some other things like enter the Union Room, and play the Dodrio and Jumping mingames.

However, RUby and Sapphire are only able to trade through Link Cable.

On the subject of price, I've seen the Wireless Adapter at Toys R Us here in the US for about $5 USD and the Game Link Cable for about $2 USD or so.
