Just picked this game up (it was released today) and I just played through the very beginning parts. It's great, nice cinematics, decent voice acting (not the best, but voice acting is always a plus IMO, even with the first Resident Evil), and what seems so far to be a potentially awesome storyline.

The dungeons are EXACTLY like PMD. They randomize every time, the whole floor is turn-based (monsters move when you move, etc.), you have a standard attack plus abilities (which use SP).

I played the one for the DS and absolutely loved it. This one is a bit different though, more of a storyline and more traditional battle style, instead of pop-card battles (which are awesome IMO and they still have them as an online thing).

If you haven't played the DS one, I recommend it, and if you have, I recommend the newest one for the Wii. (I think it's better if you've played the DS one because you know the characters, but it's not essential.)

Mehh I just wished they would've put this on the DS as well. but I'm gonna get it fairly soon! *come on pay day!*

I'm quite interested in this. :D My Wii is at home so I can't play it really until September, and I probably wont' even pick it up then, but I love the PMD games so I'm definitely interested in the genre and--hey, they're Chocobos! You can't go wrong! XD

I've heard nothing but good things about the game, too, so I'm looking forward to when I can play it.

Haha glad you guys are interested. You won't be disappointed, I think. My only complaint so far is the cutscenes/dialogues move kinda slowly. But that's not a huge issue. Also the dungeon I'm in now is hard as crap, but IMO that's a good thing, glad that it's challenging.

Hirano Aya doing Shiroma's voice got me hyped last year, but I gave up buying it since:
    - Don't have a Wii
    - Still playing Chocobo's Dungeon 1 and 2 for the Playstation

Yea I might get this when it's released in the UK. Dunno about the DS version though… unless you connect it somehow…

Nah, no connection. The DS one is kinda different, it's more mini-games and pop-card battles, really fun though. And it has a good story, which I believe is connected to the one for Wii. Not sure yet though since the story is one of those ones where you're basically left wondering about everything for the longest time.

Only reason I suggest the DS one first is because you become familiar with the characters, as they're pretty much all/mostly the same in this one.
