Female Mr. Mime

    I was searching for a gastrodon in my Platinum game and I came a across a female Mr. Mime. Then I began to think about that. It's female, but it's name is Mr. which is used for males....that's some sort of paradox...and I now have a small headache. Discuss
    (not the headache, the paradox of female Mr. Mime)

    the name was made before they discovered the magical thing called gender, so yea
     
    there were no genders in generation one (which I still find very stupid) so it didn't matter what they named the Pokemon

    It's Japanese name is バリヤード , or Barrierd.

    I doesn't refer to Gender at all. Nintendo of America are the ones at fault, for giving it the English name "Mr.Mime"

    btw, The Japanese name for an Episode revealed Jame's Mime Jr. is Female

    "King Usohatchi and Queen Manane"

    Usohatchi = Bonsly
    Manane = Mime Jr.

    Hah, that's too funny. Think about it if there were a Mrs. Mime :'D
     
    I always think that they should make a Ms. Mime that is female only, and make Mr. Mime male only, and make Mime Jr. just Mime. So, male Mime [jr.] evolves into Mr. Mime, female Mime [jr.] evolves into Ms. Mime. Simple :D
     
    Well you could just nickname your female Mr.Mime into Mrs., Ms., or Miss Mime.

    I've had one before. My Mimien (aka Mr. Mime that is currently in my Platinum orig. from LG) is female. I don't mind seeing as how it was automatically nicknamed Mimien. I find it quite funny how the female Mr. Mimes were trying to trick trainers. lol Poor children who don't know which gender a Mr. Mime is. :( They must be so confused at such a young age.
     
    I know it's weird.

    Pokemon Anime fails anyway, it made pokemon look like a kids game but in reality its a very solid RPG, if not one of the best
     
    Keh, I accepted the notion of female Mimes right from the start. As previously stated, バリヤード is its 'real' name anyway.

    The player character is silent and there's no elaborateness to the storyline.
    Not my idea of a hall of fame RPG, in fact rather self-defeating in its genre.
     
    in most RPG's the played character is silent, allowing for you to fill in the dialogue with some imagination.
    Pokemon is an RPG, easily one of the best, rivaling the FF series, the Anime destroyed that image.

    Back on subject, I noticed that we have Slowking and Kingdra too. Both are capable of being female and were named during the second gen (when genders were discovered).

    I blaim who ever renamed them for the english versions.

    No one really cares for those since in real life you have animals like the King Fisher, which comes in both male and female for obvious reasons
