    Hey guys,
    First time posting here.

My daughters grand parents gave her several packs of Pokémon cards all bought at toys r us
When opening them she opened a xy evolution pack and pulled out a houndour with 6000 hp.
Typically I would instantly say it's fake but I know for a fact that these were bought at toys r us.
So I'm just curious if maybe this is a mus print?

I would say it's more likely a misprint than being an outright fake. If they were fake there would be more than just one card that would be "different."

I've been trying to find another one like it online some where but I'm not able to find anything like it.
Is there anyway I could figure this out for sure?

If you have a card shop near you, you could always take it to them and see what they say. If this is the only card in the pack that looks odd then it could just be an error print because nothing else looks off to me with the card.

I'm sorry, but that is 100% a fake. There's quite a bit wrong with it. It's got an impossible HP that's in the wrong font, the Pokemon information below the picture is in the wrong font and incorrectly capitalized. It's basically like whoever counterfeited the card just did a few lazy edits to the original card they used, which, for reference, is the image inside the spoiler tag below:

    Spoiler:

Chances are very likely that her grandparents bought one of those repackaged booster packs instead of one of the official ones. I'd double check the rest of the cards from the pack, too. Chances are high they're actually fakes as well.

A repackaged pack from toys r us?
That's the only thing that is totally making me think it might be legit. Otherwise, I'd completely agree with you.

Btw I do like your honest opinion

More like purchased and then repackaged by a third party vendor and then purchased by the distributor that stocks the Toys 'R' Us stores in your area. Some of those third party vendors companies have poor quality control on the cards and packs they buy, which then sometimes leads to people winding up with fakes from their packs.

Do you still have the packaging around? Or at least a photo of it?

I like to help keep people who are collecting the cards informed, as the prices of individual cards is less volatile when more collectors are better informed and know better what to look for.

Here is what's left of the pack. Had to fish it out of the trash

I used the code on the card for the online game. And the code was valid and worked

I've found fake packs in Toys R Us before, not many of them, just a few odd ones in their weird booster dispenser case they use here. I dunno if someone is buying legit packs, then returning with a receipt and decent enough fake packs that are unopened and getting exchanges/store credit/refunds or whatever.
