Grrr. I just fought Mars and Jupiter today because I had been slacking off on my Pokémonness. So I did. And I remembered that the both had Bronzors. Of course they had Extrasensory so I realized how annoying that move is. Its not the effect or strength. Its the graphics. Like. Wow. Your pokémon is almost like... twitching. And it Flinches sometimes.

    In-game Text
The user attacks with an odd, unseeable power. It may also make the foe flinch.

Odd? Yeah. More like very odd.

    What do you think?

should be a ghost type move... or at least a common move they would learn...

Well. Yeah. Its just an annoying move.

I quite like it bcoz of its PP and its just like psychic but not as strong. I would love to have it on my Deoxys or Celebi, do you know where to get the TM?

I don't believe it is one. But I have a hack to get it...

I love extrasensory. 30PP and 80Strength. Awesome move, Mesprit learns it.

Extrasensory: Being outside the normal range or bounds of senses.

When referring to senses, I do believe it refers to a sixth sense of telekinetic power. Medicham's PokeDex entry refers to it's psychic powers as a sixth sense that it gained through meditation. So basically it hints that even by referring to the name, you can tell that it's a psychic type move. This overrules Thraxxacor's comment about Extrasensory should be a Ghost type move.

What I find strange is that Extrasensory can flinch. If I'm not mistaken, the MoveDex's data clearly states that Extrasensory attacks with a power that cannot be seen. If you can't see anything, it's not like you're going to be scared. Nothing gives you that sudden shock that makes you flinch. It's not like Astonish, where the attacking Pokemon appears out of nowhere and scares the defending Pokemon for damage. I mean, with that, I can easily see the flinch rate. But with an unseeable move coming towards you, I don't really think it would flinch you much.

But meh, that's just my opinion. I like the move, actually. I used it on my Azelf for the Elite Four; I didn't want to waste my Psychic TM too early in the game. Pretty cool move. It has a nice 10% flinch rate to top it off.

    Your knowledge overwhelmes me.
And the flinching part doesn't make sense now. :/ Either way its freaky looking.

I swept the Elite Four on the first playthrough with Azelf, Nasty Plot + Extrasensory + Flamethrower. I prefer Extrasensory over Psychic because of the flinch effect, but I use Psychic in Shoddy because every last damage counts.

I would say it's something like a cold snap, rather than shock.

i agree. plus you can replace that with psychic.

here's kinda how i see it

    confustion
    extrasensory over confusion
    psychic over extrasensory

Extrasensory is an odd move definitely, but its flinch chance is certainly applicable for it, since being struck by a power that you didn't even see, hear sense or smell would make you tense up very quickly and thats your "flinch". Its similar in effect as if you were struck by the move "Astonish".

Extrasensory is strong enough to be useful and is very PP friendly, perfect for ingame and usable for compertitive play. 30 PP for a 80 Power Move is excellent, when you consider Psychic is only got 10 more power but only 10 PP.

Extrasensory is like the Psychic version of Discharge, sacrificing 10% chance and better stopping power for 10 PP.

Good in-game move is good, in-game.

Still perfectly usable outside the ingame for certain pokemon.

I remember someone once calling me a noob cause I didn't have Extrasensory on my Ninetales.

Confuse Ray is the most annoying attack. (Except in Red/Blue, where Wrap and Fire Spin were by far the most annoying. -.-)
Extrasensory is rather funny. You go all twitchy. XD
